I have a diploma certifying a Greek gold medal in the European classical language competition, in addition to my 13th prize at the international Latin Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas competition. At 20, I am a hyperpolyglot with a knowledge of 28 languages, 12 of which I speak with a level above B2. I spent two times on television (JT of the one and broadcast of what I mingle on RTL-TVI. I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics. I adore my profession and desire each and every one of my students be satisfied with the lesson. That's why I make sure the atmosphere is stress-free and nice. We study together -from the original text along with the translation- selections from Holy Texts related to Jesus Christ’s life on earth, while exploring Byzantine Hymns and customs from the Orthodox Tradition in general. We focus on the religious, theological or historical and cultural context and at the same time apropos- check on the several primary phenomena of the Greek Language. A glance on melodies of the Byzantine Hymnology is also included in this series of sessions that unfold the greatness of Christianity!

Our series of courses is aimed at those who would like to improve their knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek and share our passion for ancient cultures but also the languages of the world which, thanks to comparative linguistics, are magnificent tools for exchange and dialogue. I have several years of experience tutoring students of different age groups in Latin and Ancient Greek. I am deeply passionate about these languages and I enjoy helping students improving at them. I believe that understanding the structure of a sentence is fundamental when approaching these languages, therefore this is an important focus for me. Hello! I am Andrés and I have a degree in Classical Philology. I teach Latin and ancient Greek classes, at all levels, both for school reinforcement and if you want to learn these two languages for pleasure. I like to teach these subjects based on new methodologies that make learning them more enjoyable and pleasant for the student. My Ancient Greek class is fitting for learners at any level. Having studied Ancient Greek now for six years, not only in school but also at the Universities of Glasgow and Cambridge, I am extremely familiar with the language and its challenges. Using the Cambridge Reading Greek and Greek GCSE textbooks, adapted texts, and even "real" Greek literature where appropriate, I envisage Greek teaching and tutoring that focusses on the necessary aspects of grammar and rote language learning but supplements them with knowledge of Ancient Greek culture, history, and literature to make the language more alive and relevant. I am well-acquainted not only with the requirements of Greek learning at school, particularly for GCSEs, but also with the expectations of university Greek courses.
