I understand the importance of sympathy and patience in teaching, and will always be able to slow down or speed up the course of learning as required. At various times in my life I've personally tried to learn almost 20 different languages (though Latin and Greek remain my favourites!), so I know very well how it feels to be staring at a page full of weird-looking words, and not have a clue where to start.
