Hi, my name is Virág :) I’m an artist from Hungary, and I spent 10 years studying classical guitar starting at the age of 9. I pursued my education at the conservatory in Budapest. I currently work as an Illustrator in the animation field, but I never stopped loving music and the guitar! If you're interested in playing classical guitar and want to feel more connected to the universe, I can teach you the basics. If you already have some guitar experience - we can see your level, then we can go from there :) I can show you how to read the notes and sheet music, but if you prefer to learn visually by copying my hand movements, that's perfectly okay too. I don't think everybody who is a good musician can be a good teacher and I had some bad teachers in my life so I put a lot of effort in being on the top of my game. It is important for me to have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere during lessons, set individual goals based on musical tastes and have a structured, personalised approach. This class is meant for students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners to more advanced players. The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are rhythm guitar, being able to accompany yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique. There will very likely be some degree of music theory during guitar lessons as I am a firm believer that you have to understand the thing you're learning to fully master it, but no worries - it will only be as much as is necessary to have the control and understanding of the instrument in a chosen style (and if you are into music theory I will be more than happy to nerd out together!).
