I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

As a promoter Geni has been running, and raising funding for, Liverpool's 'Parrjazz' for 13 years, promoting UK jazz acts such as Soweto Kinch and Go Go Penguin alongside International guests such as Snarky Puppy and Ghost - Note Geni is also a tutor at Liverpool university and WaterBear college of Music, and has worked as private mentor for many years, also on Breaking The Record, a programme created to empower women in music.

I studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London graduating with a first-class Master's degree and an LRAM music teaching qualification. My name is Aleksandar Nikolaev and I am from Bulgaria. I offer flute lessons (modern and traverso), piano and music theory, all ages and levels are welcome! I am able to teach in English, German, French and Bulgarian (my native language). I had a teaching job for 2 years in Germany and I would like to continue developing my teaching skills if you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me. My journey : I have a master's degree in modern flute performance (HfM Dresden, Germany) and I am pursuing a second master's degree in historical instrument practice (HEM Geneva). I have also always studied piano and organ from a young age.

I teach instrumental lessons (face to face from my Music Studio and online) on flute, piano, singing, saxophone and clarinet, as well as music theory. As a teacher with more than 6 years of experience, I offer private lessons for all ages and all levels. I learned my teaching skills from famous flute teachers of our time. I have experience teaching both children and adults and I think it is essential that we both have fun while learning something as wonderful as playing music! Lessons are adapted to your needs and we will develop your musicality and technical skills together. In addition to Classical music, we can also work on other music styles if necessary. For example, I am familiar with Brazilian folk music, Baroque music, Modern Music and Jazz. It is also possible to request academic support with the instrument, music theory or history. Hallo, mein Name ist Pia und ich bin Flötistin :) Ich habe mit 8 Jahren angefangen, Flöte zu lernen, es hat mir sofort gefallen und so habe ich nach der Musikschule mein Studium am Konservatorium in Maribor (Slowenien) fortgesetzt, danach habe ich an der Kunst Universität Graz studiert und 2024 habe ich meinen Bachelor an der Gustav Mahler Privatuniversität in Klagenfurt abgeschlossen. Dort habe ich einen Abschluss in Konzertfach und einen Abschluss in Instrumentalpädagogik gemacht. Während meines Studiums absolvierte ich auch einen Spezialisierungskurs in Alter Musik mit dem Hauptfach Traversflöte. Daher biete ich auch Unterricht für Anfänger auf diesem schönen Barockinstrument an. Während meines Studiums hatte ich einige Privatschüler, mit denen ich die Klänge der Flöte und verschiedene Genres (Klassik, Pop, Jazz, Volksmusik, Improvisation usw.) erkundet habe. Mein Unterricht ist entspannt und kommunikativ, voll von gemeinsamem Musizieren. Der Unterricht kann auch online stattfinden. Anfänger sind ebenso willkommen wie diejenigen, die ihre Kenntnisse vertiefen oder nach einiger Zeit wieder mit dem Flötenspiel beginnen möchten! :)
