IB Math SL, IB Math HL, Internal Assessment, IGCSE, GCSE, AS-Level, A-Level, O-level, Edexcel Math
Dear students and parents,
I am an enthusiastic and hard-working multilingual (English, Russian, Turkish, Azerbaijani) Math and Statistics educator and Data Analyst with 12 years of teaching and 16 years of research experience in an international environment.
First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life.
As a Math High-Level and Standard-Level (AA, AI) teacher in IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) the part of my teaching also consisted of supervising students’ research projects. Previous research experience in the frame of UNDP (UN Development Program) by that time was very valuable. Being an IB Math Examiner helped me to see the clear picture of students' mistakes done during the solutions. So, I teach students how to show their solutions to get more marks on the exam.
Working with British School during this hard time of COVID taught me to be prepared for any challenges, to make decisions in a very short time, to be ready for any daily but very important changes. Teaching online became more interesting by using such helpful math tools as Desmos, GeoGebra, TI 84 Calculator Online, etc.
Having teaching experience (Math and Statistics) in one of the top universities of the US (UW-Madison) helped me clearly to see the path of a student from the school bench to the university auditorium. Only by working in both school and university, you can understand what is better to learn for a student to be helpful in the future university years.
Years of hands-on work experience and a keen interest in Math teaching as a profession, excellent Math and Statistical skills, a deep understanding of IB Global mission, being curious to learn the new curriculum (IGCSE, A-Level), and clearly seeing the connection between the school and university Math have prepared me well to see strengths and weaknesses of the student and how to use that strong side of a student to improve the gaps that student earned in her/his earlier years. Therefore, I believe that all these experiences will help me smoothly rise the level of my students and succeed in their future life.
Sincerely,
Leila

Tuition in Math - Physics - Chemistry - BiologyGraduated and Experienced for more than 18 years, I give private lessons in Mathematics - Analysis - Matrices - Statistics - Algebra - Geometry - Physics - Chemistry - Biology, Geology to students of French program of Terminales, patent and secondary or international program IB in English (Grade 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) or entrance exams and medical university preparatory classes or 1st and 2nd university years for the academic year 2022/2023 either at home or by internet online by a very modern and professional method much better than webcam and better than on site.
The online method is easily done by a link that serves as a writing board, typing and projection more than Skype or Zoom talking about which we communicate. This method is very modernized and reliable (it's like we are in the same place) for more than 6 years I have been working by this method.
The results of my students and in particular the students of Terminale are superb with successes in mention very good and good and sometimes excellent.

Private online mathematics lessons - Qualified and experienced teacherI am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.
The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. I develop a tailor-made remediation program for each of my students aimed at filling each of their gaps. Over the course of the sessions, the student builds a solid foundation for learning and regains self-confidence. At the same time, I help him acquire a work methodology that allows him to gradually become autonomous in his studies.
I have a perfect knowledge of the mathematics program of the College and the High School (from the Sixth to the Terminale). During my formative years, I studied and developed many techniques that make it easier to learn math. The strength of my pedagogical approach lies in my ability to explain in a simple way everything that the student finds complicated. I am passionate about this job because it gives me the opportunity to guide dropout students on the path to success. It is a real pleasure to see them evolve and come to terms with the fantastic world of mathematics.
I provide my private lessons in Limoges (at the student's home) or remotely (online via the internet). My distance learning courses take place on an interactive online whiteboard. This board is specially designed to promote student/teacher interaction on the internet. Thanks to this educational tool, my online courses are as effective as home courses. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to take advantage of it.

Math tutoring for high school studentsAs a teaching professional, I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge. My goal is to provide quality education. I am aware that some topics may seem complex, but often this is simply the result of an inadequate explanation by the teacher. With me, you will discover a real interest in the material!
We strive together to achieve academic excellence, overcoming the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by your child. Studies will become a pleasant experience for him. In addition to the courses, I can also help with school orientation, identifying their preferences and highlighting the advantages and benefits of a fulfilling educational ambition.
The sessions generally take place according to the following stages:
1️⃣ The first sessions are devoted to the assessment of the student's level in order to detect existing gaps.
2️⃣ Next, we create a personalized plan to address these gaps, including the number of hours of work needed, specific areas to focus on, and appropriate training and development exercises.
3️⃣ We stay in constant contact with the student's class teacher, to keep up to date with the latest requirements and ensure a consistent approach.
4️⃣ Subsequently, I provide exams similar to those that are likely to be asked in class, to prepare the student effectively.
5️⃣ Upon request, I write a regular report, usually monthly, to keep parents informed of their child's progress throughout their course.
I adapt my methodology according to the specific needs of each student, thus offering them a personalized and adapted work approach.
In addition, I offer crash courses for students preparing for the start of the school year, allowing them to start the year well prepared, with a solid lead on the school curriculum.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to help you.

Mathematics (Applied Math, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Geometry, IBM Exams, Entrance Exams): Primary/High School/Bachelor/Master StudentsMathematics is all about learning basic elements with which you can create explosions, interactions and much more desired computations. It is the heart of every science known and without it, even the text that I am writing right now would not work (recall binary numbers).
I have always been passionate about Math and during primary and high school I attended many Regional Math Olympiads where I usually won the top 5 places. During this period, I got the chance to be trained by university professors and gained knowledge of many complex math concepts at a really young age. This made it possible for me to afterward be able to explain these concepts in a brief and clear manner to my fellow students. I aspire to visualize everything with everyday life and when students see this connection, the puzzle is finally solved. We can cover all of the branches of mathematics together at the desired level and degree level. Starting from Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Probability, Trigonometry and much more, we will build that mathematic intuition in no time!

GCSE or A-level tutoring for mathematics, biology and chemistryHi, I’m Selcan and I am a resident doctor working in the healthcare sector with a background in tutoring.
I have an extensive experience in both online and in person tutoring and I have tutored the following subjects of: maths, biology, chemistry, physics at all levels. I am dedicated to personalising each student’s learning journey. I believe that effective teaching begins with understanding individual strengths, weaknesses and learning styles. I work closely with various exam specification boards, ensuring that my lessons align with the required standards and content. This enables my students to not only grasp the material but also excel in their exams. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts deeply.
Having achieved high grades myself, I understand the importance of academic success and the impact it can have on a student’s future. Together we will develop a targeted study plan that focuses on each student’s goals to achieve academic success.
In a typical lesson, I begin with a brief assessment to gauge the student’s understanding of the topic at hand. I incorporate a variety of resources such as practice questions aligned with specific exam boards and activities to reinforce learning. I also ensure time for questions, encouraging students to engage actively with the material.
