Hello! My name is Megan and I offer in-person and online music lessons for musicians young and old, from experienced to advanced. If you are interested in learning to play piano, learning to sing, basic to advanced music theory, and more, you have come to the right place. I am a music educator specializing in voice, general musicianship, and music theory. I am a graduate of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State Long Beach, and a current graduate student of musicology at Utrecht University. I have experience working with students of all ages and skill levels, and I enjoy working in both individual and group settings.

My teaching method is holistic. I have been trained in music theory, piano, arranging, improvisation, Alexander technique, art philosophy, music in East Asia, counterpoint, advanced rhythm and pulse, music history, Sibelius software, contemporary music, chamber music, solfege and pedagogy. As an Oud and music teacher, I am driven by my passion for music and my desire to help others discover the beauty of this art form. I teach vocal technique through body awareness. We’ll dive into the essential principles of singing: breath, resonance, and articulation.
