I offer lessons to all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those more advanced. Typical lessons last from 30 minutes to an hour. All of my lessons are tailored to meet the exact needs and preferences of my students, whether that's working towards their next graded exam, playing just for fun, and anything in between. I hold a first class honours degree in Classical Flute from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I studied with Ian Clarke and Philippa Davies, and won the Needlemaker's Woodwind Prize. After graduating in 2022, I was invited to become a Guildhall School Junior Fellow, specialising in Flute and Composition. As a freelance flautist, I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Concert Hall and the Southbank Centre. My performance experience encompasses a diverse range of settings, from live radio broadcasts to collaborations with dance and art installations, reflecting my versatility as a musician, and openness to help my students pursue their own personal journey, both within music and as an individual in general. In addition to my passion for the flute, I am also an accomplished composer with a portfolio of commissioned works premiering at renowned venues and exhibitions worldwide. Notable highlights include composing for Wessel Flutes, Berlin Fashion Week, Nxt Museum (Amsterdam), and Adidas Y-3. My work as a composer heavily influences my approach to teaching. Beyond emphasising technical proficiency and a solid grasp of music theory, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity in all of my students.

Trusted teacher: What is this - Suzuki method? The Suzuki Method is suitable not only for children but also for adults as it provides an excellent technical foundation for playing your favorite songs! If you have been dreaming of playing the flute for a long time, I am here to help you. Talent is not inherited. It is a product of energy and patience. Children grow up in a rich and diverse environment, accepting the world around them spontaneously and intuitively. They grow up in an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Parents believe unconditionally in their children, their success, their luck, their talent. They learn eagerly through repetition by imitating their favorite people. Language and music are perceived through hearing. There is a sensitive period in childhood when a child learns to speak naturally. The sensitive phases are important. That's why we have to bring music into a child's life as early as possible (Maria Montessori also talks about "sensitive phases"). The child learns and improves at their own individual pace. A successful task is an incentive for new achievements. We can learn and master anything we want. All it takes is patience, perseverance and time. The surrounding world is a living source of sensitivity and receptivity. Man is a child of his environment. Constant repetition, listening to the repertoire, learning to play by heart is a natural way to learn an instrument, just like the native language. Parents have a great responsibility as home teachers, not just attending classes and helping with practice at home. Your job is to be dedicated to the continued teaching of the Suzuki approach, creating a musical environment, learning the basics of playing and caring for the instrument, and creating a general atmosphere of affection, support and understanding. The most important component for success is the willingness of parents to regularly take time to work closely with the child and the teacher. The Suzuki method is a teacher-mentor who walks the path with the child, who does not dominate, but shows his knowledge and authority, and for the mother, this inner authority helps create a harmonious union of the three - teacher - parent - child - to create the so-called Suzuki triangle (triangle). The interaction of the three can maintain the child's interest. I am ready to lead you and your children into the wonderful world of music.

This class is for students of any age who wish to learn the transverse flute. Learning an instrument takes time and commitment, but it's hugely rewarding - and it doesn't have to be boring! I have experience teaching students of all age and levels and I specialise in tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. Beginner flute lessons are suitable for students learning from scratch or those already playing up to about ABRSM Grade 2 level. In beginner flute lessons, you will learn the fundamentals of making a sound and play your first notes, as well as the basics of reading music. As lessons progress, you will learn your first short pieces and maybe even prepare for graded exams. Intermediate lessons are suitable for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 3 to Grade 5 levels. In these lessons, you will build on what you already know to expand your abilities on the flute. You will learn more about different musical styles and techniques and develop more confidence to express yourself through music. Advanced lessons are for students already playing at about ABRSM Grade 6 and beyond. Depending on each student, lessons could involve growing more skills to take the advanced grade or diploma exams exams through to learning the skills to put together a recital programme or prepare for a music college audition. There is wide scope in these lessons to focus on your areas of interest, while still keeping an eye on the solid foundations of good flute technique and musicianship.

Anna
I might not know much about flute, but what I know is that if you want to learn it, Anna's your gal. She's fun, smart, punctual and really professional and, to top it off, a really good teacher. She is going to make you feel appraised for your smallest accomplishments (which will definitely help you evolve much faster than using any conventional book/online course etc.) and will find the sweet spot between theoretical concepts and fun, practical songs to keep you entertained. I myself had an internal kerfuffle and nearly quit after 2 weeks of trying to learn flute. But flute can be fun and entertaining, and Anna's teaching method is the proof to that lemma!
