Trusted teacher: I received a bachelor’s degree University College London, a master’s degree at the London School of Economics and a PhD in international relations at London Metropolitan University. I have taught at high school, undergraduate and post-graduate levels: in high schools and universities in the United States, as well as in universities in the United Kingdom and Hungary. I have guided many students through their GCSE, IB and Oxbridge exams. I have also helped prepare students taking standardized tests such as the ISEE, SHSAT, ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT. I have taught classes and tutored students in fields as diverse as history, political science, international relations, law, mathematics and English language. I enjoy teaching, and his students have consistently recorded great improvements in their test scores following classes with him. He has taught online as well as in-person, large classes as well as students one-on-one. My favorite curriculum to teach is the IB, precisely because it emphasizes the interdisciplinary academic approach that he has always followed. Among the IB subjects I teaches are Mathematics and Economics. I also teach Theory of Knowledge and guide students over the Extended Essay. My approach to education is as follows: “Education is a passion of mine. There is nothing more satisfying than the experience of imparting knowledge, wisdom or even a learning technique to another person. It is particularly pleasing when this transmission leads to an enormous improvement in the life of another. That a student has succeeded in passing a test and, as a result, has been admitted to a school or university or even business school or law school that he or she had only vaguely dreamed of is immensely gratifying. “I enjoy inspiring students to learn more, to want to know more, to strive for more. Because my concern is exclusively an improvement in their lives, my students have always responded well to me. As a consequence, from the moment they begin studying with me their results and test scores start to improve dramatically. My teaching is always focused on the student's individual needs and his particular aptitudes. I devise my curriculum and teaching program around those, always keeping in mind that each student is different and what works with one student will not work with another.”

You already know a lot more about economics than you might imagine. Each day, you make economic decisions, such as choosing between two teachers at Apprentus. You also come to class with years of experience in Economic matters. If you are in the UK and are 14 years old and above, you might have worked part-time before and therefore supplied your labour. Supply of labour is an important concept that you might have heard of or learnt about. Do not worry if it is new to you - you may study it if you take this class. But as you may have realized, it is something related to work, so if you have worked before, you know it already. Given students' prior experiences, I teach through examples that draw on these experiences. These examples build bridges from the familiar to the unfamiliar. Through this approach to teaching, I became one of the sought-after Economics tutors in my previous schools, where I worked with students at Key Stages 4 and 5, fostering in them a love for Economics. I bring a well-rounded understanding of AQA AS/A level and GCSE Economics Specifications and familiarity with the following textbooks: 1. Powell, James., Powell, Ray., & Horner, David. (2023). AQA a-Level Economics (5th ed.). Hodder Education Group (AQA Approved) 2. McEachern, W. A. . (2006). Economics: a contemporary introduction (7th ed.). Thomson/South-Western. Though the course is designed to help learners studying AQA GCSE or A Level Economics, it is appropriate for learners studying other specifications such as ORC Economics and all lovers of the subjects.
