At a certain point, teaching for me became much more than just keeping the student busy playing pieces of music. By studying different aspects such as sound, breathing, posture and other aspects of flute playing, I began to see very clearly how all elements of playing are influenced by our personality, emotions and feelings. During my career I have played and continue to play several flutes: modern flute, piccolo, traverso (baroque flute) and bansuri (Indian flute). From my yoga training, I have a clear idea of anatomy and the structure of the human body, which in my view is very important to help students find their own beautiful and natural sound.
