Hi! My name is Wilma, and I’m a professional cellist. I’ve been playing the cello for most of my life. When I was 3 years old, I saw a woman playing cello on the street, and I fell in love. A year later I started with lessons, and I’ve been enjoying this gorgeous instrument ever since. In my teaching, I look for an approach that works best for each student individually, and challenge them at their own level. Technique and musicality are equally important, and very much connected in my lessons. I approach the instrument with respect to the functioning of the body as a whole, and look for a way of playing that requires the least amount of effort and unnecessary muscular tension, so that the naturally beautiful sound of the cello can be more free to emerge. I enjoy teaching both children and adults, from beginners to advanced players. At the moment, my students are between the ages of 5-80 years, from absolute beginners to very advanced cellists.For young children, it’s important that a parent can listen along to the lessons, and help them to practice at home. A child’s lesson is different from a grown-up’s: with children I do more games, to introduce them to music in a playful manner, and allow them to get comfortable with the technique without having to think about it too much. With children I also work more auditively, e.g. by playing and singing for them and letting them copy that instead of reading notes right away. Whether you would like to learn to play the cello, refine your skills, or further develop yourself as a musician, I would be delighted to join, accompany and guide you on your musical journey. I speak English, Dutch and Afrikaans, and am happy to teach in any of these languages.

My aim is to provide an easily accessible, yet fun, and rewarding experience for anyone that is interested or curious about learning the cello. I hope to give exciting and suitably challenging lessons which will create and sustain motivation and determination. I will give all-rounded lessons and will always be as helpful, supportive and as encouraging as I can be at all times!

You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting by your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both this repertoires. I also give Music Theory Lessons, to make the student develop his/her own style and musical sensibility and, in the case of Jazz, to know how to improvise on different chord changes and jazz styles.

Hello, My name is Jaime and I am a Spanish clarinet player, composer, and teacher. With over years of experience playing the clarinet and having immersed myself in teaching for the last few years, I am currently completing my professional studies in clarinet and composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with professors Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orkest) and Hans Colbert (Residentie Orkest Den Haag). I see teaching not only as a way to pass on my (still growing) knowledge but also as a way to learn along with my students in a cheerful and inspiring way. During our classes, we will learn the basics of clarinet playing, as well as how to use these basics to build your own way of playing and learn simple songs, intermediate pieces, or world-class concertos! Greetings! I am a world traveled performer and vocalist from the United States. I have been playing the cello for 12 years now and specialize in Suzuki method and Baroque style. I play viola, compose acoustic and electronic music (often involving theater and film), draw faces and make large-scale collages out of them, dance, research and experiment with movement & music, make performance-art, sing, improvise, make videos, write about my dreams, write poetry, perform as a soloist and with ensembles, initiate and taka part in many musical and cross-art collaborations.

VOCAL lessons are divided into 2 parts - 1) Warmup Exercise and 2) Singing Exercise. We do both parts in every lessons. Ideally we spend every 2-3 sessions for each song. For kids, a 30-min online lesson / 45-min face-to-face lesson would be long enough for their attention. For adults, it's good to start with a 50-min online lesson! Also, we do music appreciation occasionally during the session. Some other learning materials like music videos are applied based on song choices.
