Patience and perseverance are certainly tested, but the most important thing is that it remains fun. You can certainly choose a date to admire music with the string of the guitar.

Ik ben Jess, een muzikant en producer uit Gent, afgestudeerd als bachelor in de muziek aan PXL Hasselt. Ondertussen geef ik al 10 jaar gitaarles op muziekateliers en in de vorm van privélessen thuis. Naast het lesgeven heb ik een eigen project genaamd Monagi en schrijf/produce ik voor bands zoals Tout Va Bien en Patches. daarnaast speel ik nog gitaar bij TheShadow Machine. Al mijn lessen gaan door in een ontspannen sfeer in mijn muziekstudio in Gent op jouw eigen tempo. Voor beginners: Tijdens onze gitaarles mag je zelf nummers meenemen waar je aan wil werken of we bekijken samen wat de beste nummers voor jou zijn en waar je het meeste uit kan leren. Dit gaat van de basis akkoorden waaruit de meeste pop/rock-nummers bestaan tot de melodie meespelen of jezelf begeleiden tijdens het zingen. Zodat je in een mum van tijd kan spelen waar je altijd al van droomde! Voor gevorderden: We bekijken samen waar je aan wil werken op het vlak van ritme, soleren of improviseren. Welke stijlen je bekend zijn of welke je zou willen leren spelen. Deze lessen zijn ideaal voor jou als je je kennis over de gitaar wil verbreden of wanneer het aanvoelt alsof je een plateau hebt bereikt waar je niet voorbij kan.

Emiliano Della Giovanna: Professional drummer and specialized in Jazz. Born in Naples, Italy Living in Ghent, Belgium Emiliano Della Giovanna was born into music. Born into an artistic family in Naples, Emiliano practiced guitar and drums in his youth. His passion for drums drives him to enroll in private music schools, where he is taught by several renowned musicians, including names such as Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, Dave Weckl and Gregg Bissonette. In 2006 Emiliano specializes in Jazz and is accepted at the conservatory in Siena, called Seminario Senesi di Musica Jazz. His talent is appreciated. He receives a scholarship to continue his studies at the seminar for Nuoro Jazz in Sardinia. In addition to his studies, he collaborates with Mr. Umberto Guarino and establishes a music school "Studio 40" in Naples. Here he teaches drum and rhythmic music theory. During and after his studies Emiliano plays in various formations, from classical orchestras to Jazz and Rock bands, including Renzo Arbore, Vittorio Marsignia and Sergio Colicchio. MSC and Costa Crociere offer him nine contracts so that, in addition to teaching on the mainland, he travels around the world for eight years as part of an orchestra aboard various cruise ships. In February 2013, Emiliano moved to Ghent (Belgium) as a proud father, where he focused on jazz, world music and rock, as well as paternity. He is also active as a teacher at the Harteklop music school. As director of the Artmusic music school in Destelbergen, founded in November 2015, Emiliano teaches drum, guitar and rhythmic music theory and organizes weekly jam sessions.

Hello, My name is Asude and I have been teaching more than 9 years. I have experience from toddlers to children, teenagers to adults for violin and piano lessons. I also have an education on pedagogie so I am experienced working with children. I know learning an instrument is challenging but that does not mean it cannot be fun! I love teaching to people from all levels and age and help them achieve their dreams. I costumize the lessons according what level you want to be and what you need in order to get there.

I am a singer-bassist from Mali with international experience with Rokia Traoré, Ben Zabo and Afrikän Protoköl. I mainly play African music (Desert blues, Afro-beat, Mandingue, the Congolese Seben, etc.) but also other genres such as blues, funk, pop and free-jazz. In my lessons you develop your musical ear and you learn to play by feeling. No scores, no theory. We fully focus on the practice and the pleasure of making music.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
