Trained at the conservatory, then at the Progressive Drum School, I then sought to improve myself by taking private lessons from references such as Loïc Pontieux, Franky Costanza, Kevin Reveyrend or Franck Aghulon. I have taught drums and music theory to students of all ages, all levels and in different contexts: recreational practice, exam preparation, putting on shows. I have also conducted musical workshops for organizations such as youth centers, elementary or nursery schools, and social centers, for projects ranging from musical awareness to the production of shows or music videos. I therefore have very comprehensive teaching experience and know how to adapt to different audiences. Now being a full-time professional musician, I also want to share my professional experience with students. During my teaching career I have questioned myself a lot about the problem of the teaching method because there is no single model of student and giving a course is not just giving a list of exercises. Hi! I’m a professional drummer. I graduated from the Vienna Jazz Konservatorium in Austria and have been living in Lisbon since 2016. I shared the stage with a many great musicians and performed all over Europe. I teach all styles of music (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Funk, etc), technique, reading music and music history. I give classes to beginners, intermediate, advanced students and also help prepare students for university entrance exam. Every student is different, has their own pace of learning and approach, but the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the process of progress.

You will learn to build the correct foundations and techniques on the drums, to be able to perform different musical genres (Rock, Funk, Pop, Latin, Jazz, Blues), developing a good groove and resources (licks, fills). We will see hand and foot techniques, independence and mobility, readings, versatility, solos, interpretation of themes and much more.

In this course you will learn techniques, patterns, phrasings and drum vocabulary to be able to play whatever interests you. This course is not limited to any specific level. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced, this course will focus on your personal interests as a musician. We will explore the instrument from a contemporary perspective based on tradition in order to not only survive in any musical context, but also exceed expectations. We will work together to develop all aspects of a good contemporary drummer: technique, control, coordination, independence, creativity and expression. As a teacher and student, I can assure you that the development of a musician is not only born from training and theory, but also from the enjoyment of playing the instrument, so in this course you will have 50% technical work and 50% development of skills. repertoire (songs you want to play).

Our lessons are uniquely designed to give you the skills you need to make the music you want to make. We begin by teaching a single instrument, for example, the guitar. We learn about how a guitar works, how you play it, and how different guitarists have defined and redefined how the instrument can be used. But underlying the guitar are universal music concepts that can be applied to any instrument anywhere; things like tone, melody, rhythm, and composition. Once you’ve got a handle on the guitar, we learn how these musical concepts can be applied elsewhere.
