Individual cello lessons focusing on the needs of the student. The main focus is developing the musicality as well as the technique of the student. Lessons for total beginners, as well as advanced cellists. I study at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and studied in Paris before living in the Netherlands. I already gave lessons and will have my teaching diploma in January 2023. If the student has specific needs (preparing for an audition, competition, etc...), mention it before the lessons! I have been teaching cello for over ten years. My students' levels have ranged from picking up the cello for the first time to preparing for auditioning to music conservatories at the college and pre-college level. I've worked with students as young as 5 years old as well as adults. I am a graduate of The Juilliard School, and have experience teaching at Juilliard Pre-College. I moved to The Netherlands in September of 2019 and have since then earned an Artist Certificate at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in baroque cello. Teaching has been a huge part of my life as a performing musician, as it encourages a constant curiosity of showing others how to make music and enjoy music themselves through the cello.

For anyone who wants to learn the cello, get better at it, and have fun with it! We will work on the fundamental things (how to hold, how to read), training of muscles and the brain with exercises, the mindset, and the sound, so that you (or your child) can grow more confidence, enrich the everyday life, and most importantly, have fun making music:) I will happily help you find your instrument. Hi ! I am Héloïse, a French cellist and singer who lives in The Netherlands since two years. I finished to study at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium in June and am now a professional musician and, among other a cello teacher at the Lindenberg Center in Nijmegen. After teaching music theory for two years in a french conservatory, I realized how much teaching is very important for me and helps me to grow as a musician. I like to adapt to the student and try to find a solution in any pedagogical situation. I can teach all cello and singing levels, and all ages. I can also give some music theory lessons. I am an Israeli cellist living in Berlin, and for the past years I have been performing in various renowned festival such as Yellow Barn, Lumières d’Europa and Geneva International Academy while pursuing my bachelors degree under the guidance of Prof. Frans Helmerson. Throughout the years, I have always been fascinated with the art of teaching. Through my main mentor, Prof. Zvi Plesser (The Julliard School), I learned more then just cello playing. I learned the value of persistence, search for beauty and expression. I have had the fortune of working and performing with todays most prominent musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Krzysztof Chorzelski (Belcea Quartet), Donald Weilerstein and Gary Hoffman. Now, after finishing my studies, I am eager to share my knowledge with you! One of the most wonderfull string instrument is the cello. If you want to learn how to play cello or just to continue improving your skills do not hesitate to contact me. I have a lot of experience teaching cello and for me, the most important thing in my lessons is learn well and enjoy. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.

My teaching approach is inspired by Paul Harris’ “Simultaneous Learning” and Phyllis Young’s “Playing the String Game”. I combine games and natural instinct to help my students understand playing the cello without overly-complicated instructions. With 4 years of experience, I’m confident in taking on both young and adult students, from beginners all the way to diploma level, guiding their journey throughout.
