As a PhD Candidate at the University of Lisbon and a previous General knowledge teacher in Barcelona and sports teacher in Lebanon, I can offer private lessons for kids who want to deeper their knowledge and skills in the areas of geography, political sciences, sociology and world History. The private lessons can take place at your own location anywhere in Lisbon. The lessons are also intended for everyone thinking of enrolling in Social Sciences fields later on in the University where I can introduce multidisciplinary subjects to the student so as he forms an idea where he is headed to. As for 10-14 year old kids the lessons will be more interactive and informative using a variety of methods, quizzes, video analyses, exploration and conversational dialogue about selected topics.

My name is Hélène. I have lived abroad for over 25 years: in Great Britain where I taught French, then in Belgium where I worked on different projects with the European institutions, and finally in Italy for 20 years where I was called upon to teach Frech to Foreigners at the University of Turin and where, at the same time, I directed cultural projects related to Francophone litterature in an institution called il Circolo dei Lettori. My way of teaching French as a Foreign Language is different from formalised learning processes, it is pragmatic, progressive and tailor-made. Why? First of all, because, before I became a teacher, I have been confronted to learning other languages: English, then Spanish, Portuguese and finally Italian. I have thus understood what is useful, mainly what is not, to enter another language, what gives the satisfaction of rapid progress in speaking, understanding, and writing... without approaches that are too often useless, time-consuming and costly for an unsatisfactory results. The FLE tuition, that is to say French as a Foreign Language, is intended for those who wish to learn French in order to be able to live in French-speaking environnement. However, it can also be of grat help for children/teens who do not have the grammatical fundamentals in order to be better at school. It includes discourse throughout the political process in local, state, national, and international political systems, as well as how political information can be exploited for political ends or to achieve political goals. People with a background in political communication may work in policy advice, foreign service, market research, public relations, journalism, and digital media, community organizing, lobbying, political campaigning, or other related fields. ▪️ The techniques used will improve your level of confidence in your public presentations and storytelling. ▪️ BUT! in order to achieve your goal you must master public speaking which is the process or act of giving a speech in front of a live audience. Public speaking is generally understood to be formal, face to face, speaking from a single person to a group of listeners.

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

The course is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Italian. No prior knowledge of Italian is required as the course is for complete beginners. Objectives of the course: To acquire basic language skills and to achieve the equivalent of A1 level. A communicative approach is used. All four skills (speaking, reading, listening and writing) are practiced, with the main emphasis on speaking. The student engage in interactive language activities according to a syllabus based on systematic grammatical progression. The student will also be offered guidance in self-study and set optional homework tasks.

Hello everyone! I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy. I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments. Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.
