Good morning, My name is Eli and I am 22 years old. I started playing the violin at the age of 6 in a local music school then I joined the Toulouse Conservatory (CRR) at the age of 8. I completed my violin degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne and am currently doing a Master's degree at the CSNM in LYON. It is with pleasure that I invest myself in teaching flying people to learn and confirm their skills in the wonderful world of music and in particular the violin! My goal is to teach good basics to beginners (from the youngest to the oldest!) which will allow you to progress on the violin. I can also easily teach people who have a few years of violin playing behind them! I am completely attentive to your musical desires and your instrumental objectives and ready to adapt my lessons accordingly (if necessary we could even do a little music theory)! Music theory is very important for anyone looking to learn an instrument! It helps broaden an understanding of the instrument and will also help you progress faster! If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. I am also a professional freelance musician and conductor, for anyone interested in conducting, we can discuss how to approach a score in relation to this.

If you want to develop your skills as a composer, this is the class for you! In this class, you are going to learn the fundamentals of creating original music, including Music theory, Motif Development, Rhythm, Structure, Orchestration, and Music Notation. During our classes, we are also going to explore different musical genres, analyze and finally put them into practice.

With 27 years of experience as a violin teacher, artist and composer, I transmit my love of music in a creative, playful and holistic way. I have developed a method that adapts to each student according to their needs, levels and desires. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
