I'm a former New York City voice teacher/coach, professional singer and an award winning composer who has relocated to Berlin. I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in. I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. And I keep lessons fun so that you can both learn and progress each week AND enjoy yourself! Whether just starting out or a professional who needs help working on an audition or role, I can help you reach your goals!

Do you wish to learn writing music from scratch or improve your composition skills without a necessity of music theory knowledge? Do you want to produce your own music but struggle with the technical aspects? I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter and performer and I offer applied classes on writing/arranging/producing pieces of music using various instruments of your choice, including your computer. I use a 'learning by creating' method, where we focus and go deeper on certain aspects depending on your needs on your music creation process. I like to use personalised methods that matches your desires, rather than following a certain curriculum. The goal is to help you gain or improve awareness on how a piece of music is written and learn various ways to begin and finalise a writing process. During our practices, I will naturally be transferring my knowledge on certain aspects such as: - Rhythm - Form - Dynamics - Texture - Melody making - Singing - Guitar playing - Placing words into music/making music around words - Improvisation as a compositional tool - Integration of Ableton Live into creative process - Recording - Mixing During the sessions, we'll either write together from scratch or work on your own material and tackle the issues of constructing a piece of music. First of all, I am very excited to work with you. Teaching piano is a passion for me. Since the age of 5 I have been practicing piano. I completed my high school, university and graduate studies in Turkey. Together with me, we can bring our piano pieces to life.

Graduated in Lyrical Singing and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chile. Although I am a professional lyrical singer, throughout my career I have performed in various musical styles out of a constant curiosity to better understand our instrument and our bodily and emotional relationship through singing, and the various possibilities for development that they offer us. the different styles. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. I'm a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London with many years experience as a professional soprano. I've sung with the Madrid Royal opera chorus and the Radio television in Spain and am an established International soloist in Baroque, opera and Contemporary music. I love to share my passion for singing and to help singers achieve a relaxed and secure technique. I like to work on different styles so the full range of colours and sounds can be explored.
