I also offer music theory classes (jazz theory or classical music theory) and early music education. Briefly to me: My musical career began in elementary school, later followed by the music secondary school in Weiz and then the music high school in Graz. At the age of 6 I learned to play the recorder, until I switched to the saxophone at the age of 8. After studying at the music school in Gleisdorf, I went to the Graz Conservatory and after graduating from the music high school, I studied at the University of Music & Performing Arts Vienna (MDW), where I did vocal and instrumental pedagogy (IGP) at the Institute for Popular Music with a focus Studied classical sax. I took my own instrumental lessons from Richard Winkler, Wolfgang Puschnig, Martin Fuss, Klaus Dickbauer and Fabian Rucker, among others. There are also countless workshops with e.g. Branford Masalis, Randy Brecker, Torsten Skringer etc. In my career, instruments such as piano, clarinet and flute were added. I'm a professional musician myself and play in bands such as "Candlelight Ficus", "Die Ranzler", "Moneka Group" and "Matho & Das Vienna Dancehall Orchestra", as well as jobs with big bands, DJ's and much more. I offer clarinet lessons to young or adult musicians who like to play the clarinet, regardless of whether you are a beginner or an advanced player. I work from a holistic principle in which I base myself on various methods for clarinet practice (for beginners this is for example Jan van Beekum, hearing reading and playing or Collis. For the advanced player this is for example Collis or Gambaro, Uhl or Cavallini). I teach, among other things, musicality, expression, musical phrases, breathing, tone formation, technical control and rhythm. I myself still take clarinet lessons at the conservatory of Zwolle and I strive to pass on the skills I acquired there to the student.

In my many years of teaching experience I have learned that every student has their own path, their own goals and their own preferences. And that's ideal for me, because I'm a classically trained flautist, have specialized in contemporary music and at the same time like to include jazz standards and world music in my teaching repertoire. We start the class with warm-up exercises and depending on the path you want to take, we will continue with technical exercises, etudes, repertoire and improvisation exercises. In any case, whether we're playing an Etude, a Bach Sonata or a piece by Miles Davis, fun and well-being come first! Depending on age and goals, we can arrange 30-45 or 60-minute lessons. For younger children who are not yet sure whether they want to start playing the flute, we can schedule a first time with the recorder.

In my classes, you can learn how to play the Chinese bamboo flute (dizi) or xiao. If you’re interested in orchestral conducting or music theory, I also offer related courses. Bamboo Flute Course: You will learn how to play the Chinese bamboo flute and continuously improve your performance skills throughout the course. You can choose to learn the bamboo flute or xiao and play classical pieces or your favorite songs. Orchestral Conducting: If you need to prepare for related exams or are interested in orchestral conducting, I can help you prepare the necessary repertoire through score reading, analysis, and conducting techniques during the course. Music Theory: Music theory courses are available for children, providing a solid theoretical foundation to enhance their musical learning and make progress much faster!

In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know. We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests. I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly. In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. I am a professional clarinetist graduated with distinction at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels (Master Degree in Clarinet) and holding a Bachelor Diploma from the Music Conservatory of Valencia (Spain). Currently I am studying for a Master's Degree in Bass Clarinet, so we can combine both instruments in my lessons. I teach students of all ages and levels. In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. The lessons are adapted to each student's needs and wishes. On top of playing, I can also offer lessons on harmony, form analysis and counterpoint that focus on understanding the structure of music. My lessons will already include many different aspects of the music being taught but there is the option of focusing the theoretical or the practical. i am looking forward to teaching you music!

My teaching experience has ranged from children or adults starting from zero with the instrument to students with a medium-professional level. I specialize in clarinet, although I also teach piano at beginners' level and theoretical subjects, from music theory to harmony, analysis and music history. My methodology is based on adapting to the student, following different teaching strategies appropriate to each level and age. From playful methodologies with younger children, to specific methods with older students. I believe that adapting to the situation is always more important than following a rigid methodology.
