I have studied Latin drums at Codarts, university of the arts, in Rotterdam, so I've acquired a lot of knowledge and skills on Cuban and Brazilian music, jazz, funk and Pop. Hello! My name is George and I'm a fourth year student in jazz guitar at the Codarts conservatory here in Rotterdam, though my guitar journey began at the age of nine. I have been teaching a variety of students of different ages and backgrounds for the passed two years. My aim as a teacher is not to overwhelm students with theory and sight-reading. Instead, I prefer to teach you practical ways to develop your own musical interests. If you are beginner struggling to achieve clear,clean notes or play a full song in tempo I can show you the most effective way to achieve rapid results. If you are passed the beginner stage I can help you with my specialised knowledge in jazz, pop, blues and rock. If you are compitent up to a certain level but can't move out of your comfort zone I can help you move onwards and upwards.

Languages that we can speak in the lesson: Dutch, English, Catalan or/and Spanish Skills that we can work on: basic techniques, jazz and folk techniques, play the cello while singing, percussion on the cello. How do I work? Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you. For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing. For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument. Additional Activities: Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. Hello! I am Celia, a professional saxophonist and singer. I am offering individual (online or face-to-face) lessons in Saxophone, Singing, Improvisation, or Music Theory. I have seven years of experience as a teacher. In my lessons, I adapt completely to the needs of the student, regardless of their age or level. Depending on what you want to improve or what you are willing to learn, I will design the sessions specifically for you. Composing music can be intimidating, but it’s actually stimulating and hands-on, and it’s not all about sitting at a table in front of a paper imagining music. In these lessons you’ll learn about composition techniques, harmony, melody, rhythm, form, composing through improvisation, and much more. Everything you need to translate your ideas into your own preferred genre of music. Depending on your background and musical preferences, we will adjust the content of the lessons so that it fits you best. The lessons can be done in English, Dutch, Spanish or Catalan.

- In a very calm and friendly environment, the classes are organized and planned according to the students' goals/wishes. Jawa (1996) a Syrian oud player, singer and composer. I was born in Aleppo, and I grew up in Damascus, Syria. I started playing music at the age of eleven. I chose the Oud as my instrument because my father used to play it everyday at home when I was young. Gradually, I fell in love with it and now I feel an unlimited feeling of freedom while playing it. Graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory in 2021.
