For over twenty-five years, I have assessed Parliamentary Candidates for a major political party and for the past twelve years, I have been organizing and Facilitating them both face-to-face and since the pandemic online as VADs or Virtual Assessment Days. The biggest barrier facing any adult learner who is also in employment is trying to balance the conflicting demands of employment with the competing demands of a formal course which has its own timetable.
