Hi, I am an international student from China currently pursuing graduate studies in education. I speak Japanese, Chinese (mother tongue) and French. For adults who are able to think logically, I will choose to explain in a more logical way, e.g. if there is the character for fire on the left side of the Chinese word "烤", the left of the word which is "火" looks like a campfire,so any word with this "campfire" means something about fire or high temperature, and the right part can be used to deduce the pronunciation of the word.
