Paula - Saarbrücken48€
Trusted teacher: Violin lessons for students of all levels and musical genres Do you want to start playing the violin or improve? My name is Paula and I am a violinist, violin teacher and orchestra musician. I have a "Master of Music" in violin at the Saar University of Music with Prof. Joshua Epstein and I am currently studying in the master's program in chamber music with Krzysztof Chorlezski, violist of the Belcea Quartet, and Mario Blaumer, cello director of the Saarland Radio Orchestra. I'm also doing an internship in the Philharmonic State Orchestra Mainz, but I spend most of my time in Saarbrücken. I also completed a two-year course in osteopathy, studied two years of a bachelor's degree in education and a course in neuroanatomy. When teaching violin, I am particularly interested in how the brain works and its relationship to the body and concentration, as well as working with emotions, which can be applied to both music and life. I teach violin privately and at two schools in Germany. I have played in orchestras in Germany and Spain, for example the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie or the orchestra of the Comunitat Valenciana (Opera in Valencia), and in concert halls such as the Elbphilarmonie or the Berlin Philharmonie. I am also a member of various chamber music ensembles, especially string quartets. I live in the center of Saarbrücken and mostly teach at home, but I can also come to you. And if you want, you can also get lessons online. Lessons can take place in German, English or Spanish. If you have any questions, please contact me! :) Best wishes, Paula

One-hour lessons, structured with a theoretical part followed by practical application! To learn how to play, you need to... play! Lessons on technique and approaches to classical and contemporary pieces, listening to pieces played by great pianists, and listening to classical music concerts to train the ear to certain melodies. Preparation for admission to the conservatory. Your piano lessons would consist of: Music Theory and Basic Piano Foundations (15 minutes): Introduction to music theory: notes, clefs, rhythms, musical symbols, etc. Basic piano concepts: keys, octaves, hand positions. Piano Technique (15 minutes): Technical exercises to develop finger strength, fluidity in movements, and dynamic control. Scales, arpeggios, and trills to improve finger dexterity. Practice on Classical Pieces (15 minutes): Start playing the first classical pieces, such as compositions by Bach, Mozart, or Beethoven, adapted to the student's level. The teacher will guide the student through interpretation and articulation of the pieces. Practice on Contemporary Pieces (15 minutes): Introduction to more modern pieces, like compositions by contemporary composers or pop songs adapted for the piano. Focus on appropriate technique and interpretation for the genre. Listening to Great Pianists (10 minutes): Listening to performances of famous pieces played by renowned pianists. This helps students develop an ear for touch, interpretation, and the art of piano performance. Listening to Classical Music (10 minutes): Listening to classical compositions for orchestra or other instruments to expose students to different musical forms and styles. Discussion of musical characteristics and elements. Sight-Reading Exercises (10 minutes): Reading and interpreting previously unseen musical pieces to develop sight-reading skills, essential for conservatory auditions. Conservatory Audition Preparation (10 minutes): Specific work on pieces required for conservatory auditions. Audition simulations to build confidence and mental readiness. Questions and Clarifications (10 minutes): Time dedicated to answering the student's questions and discussing progress and goals. Homework Assignments (10 minutes): Assigning exercises and pieces to practice for the next lesson. It's important to tailor the lessons to the student's level and needs. A well-balanced lesson plan that includes theory, technique, and diverse piece practice will help build a strong foundation and prepare the student for the conservatory.

Trusted teacher: Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

Taiko Drumming is both a traditional instrument and an innovative medium for making contemporary music. I am Eva, a professional Taiko Drummer, and I have playing the Taiko drums for 30 years. Lessons will be taught online on weekdays and on-site in central Tokyo on weekends, in groups. Private lessons can be arranged upon request. Here is my profile: Born in Tokyo, Japan, Eva was raised by a family of scholars and artists with mixed German and Japanese heritage. From a young age, she learned how to play piano after her father introduced her to classical music, while she simultaneously learned Taiko after her mother introduced her to the Japanese arts. After graduating from the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan, she attended Cornell University in New York, USA, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy. While attending Cornell, she joined the Cornell University Percussion Ensemble. The following year, she co-founded the Taiko drumming student organization called Cornell Taiko (YAMATAI) and she was the lead drummer and Musical Director. After graduating from Cornell at the young age of 22, she returned to Japan and started performing professionally. She started her solo career a year later. Eva is also trained in Japanese folk dance (with a focus on male styles) and has a passion for street dance and locking. She joined an Awa dance team affiliated with the prestigious Koenji Awa Dance Association and made her way to become one of the top female dancers in Japan. Today, she brings Japanese taiko drumming and song to a brand new context of pop music and also performs with many distinguished artists, musicians, dancers, and Taiko drummers across multiple genres. Eva does not only perform using taiko, she also uses a number of other instruments that have a distinct flavor of the Japanese environment including Koto (Japanese Harp), Voice, and Piano. Eva also works in the field of education and teaches taiko drumming workshops to both children and adults and is also involved in humanitarian efforts such as raising awareness for the disabled. Her music, dynamic performances, and selfless spirit continue to inspire not only her many fans but all who witness her performances all over the world. In 2023, her original music was published by Harper Collins Publisher and she was also the cover image of their music textbook. In 2024, her original music was utilized by Cambridge International Curriculum, used in over 160 countries and 10,000 schools, which sets a global standard for education, and is recognized by universities and employers worldwide.

Petra
I have been taking Indonesian lessons with Petra for two months and she has helped me to improve quickly. Always smiling, on time, she takes the time to explain things well and the learning method she offers is really effective. Easily 5 stars :)

I am extremely pleased with the lessons Paula gaves. I feel extremely lucky to have met her and to be able to be taught by her. She is a very nice and kind person, very open and knows how to communicate well. She gives great advice, is really attentive, plays amazingly and every lesson with her is just pure joy. She really makes it easy and very understandable for everyone, even someone like me, who didn't know how to play violin at all.
