Are you interested in theory and want to learn something about music in general? Contact me! I have been teaching flute, piano, recorder, music theory, chamber music and coaching in English, German and Hungarian for almost 10 years, both privately and at various music schools in Berlin and Budapest. My youngest students are 5 years old, my oldest are over 60. I can hit the right note with almost everyone and I think that a good education system is essential for society, which is why I am passionate about it! Contact me and let's swim in the music! About me: I am Kristóf i, a practicing flautist, composer and pianist. I studied flute and composition at the Liszt Academy in Budapest and at the University of Arts in Berlin and have participated in many projects based on the wide repertoire of so-called classical music, including playing in symphony orchestras, in many chamber music groups and as a soloist, pop, rock and jazz music, folk music, experimental genres and contemporary music, performance art, theater music, sound painting and free improvisation, electronic music and so on. I come from a family of musicians and have been playing and learning flute and piano intensively since I was five years old. I teach instrumental lessons (face to face from my Music Studio and online) on flute, piano, singing, saxophone and clarinet, as well as music theory. I also offer general musical skills sessions for young children who are not quite old enough to learn one specific instrument yet. I have experience as a Music Teacher and Lecturer for schools and colleges, so I also offer help with GCSE and A-Level Music. I attend regular Safeguarding training and I have an advanced DBS on the update service. I also have experience working with children who have special educational needs and EHCP’s. Learning music and an instrument as well as being part of a group or ensemble, is about much more than becoming a performer. The skills and techniques learnt, are incredibly versatile for use in other subjects as well as being valuable life skills. Below are some of the skills which are developed in Music: Co-ordination Motor skills Imagination Expression Commitment Discipline Organisation skills Self evaluation Confidence Team work Communication Support Setting targets and goals Sense of achievement I am also a Musical Director for choirs where the importance is on community, enjoyment, health and well being and making sure that people feel included and good about singing with a wide range of repertoire including classical, folk, jazz, gospel, pop and musical theatre. I also have experience of running school and college choirs, orchestras and ensembles. I choose repertoire of various genres for students to explore different sounds and styles, with some being quicker to learn but effective, to build a more instant satisfaction and confidence within the group, while other pieces are more technical, allowing students to challenge themselves. As well as being a solo Flautist, Singer, and Saxophonist, I am part of an acoustic Classical Flute and Guitar duo, a Folk duo, a Jazz ensemble and a Folk Rock band, performing at weddings, private functions, festivals and events.

I offer lessons of flute and recorder in three languages (French, English & Italian). If you are a big fun of art noveau buildings you can come to my house in Schaerbeek. Or if you leave too far, I can come to your place. My name is Matteo and I am an Italian flutist and musicologist, based in Brussels since 2010. I graduated in modern flute at 'B. Kristóf
I am very happy to have Kristóf as my flute teacher! Not only is he knowledgeable about flute technique, but he also takes the time to explain how the instrument works and the physics behind the sound production. His expertise in music theory is a significant bonus, enriching my understanding of music as a whole. What I appreciate most is his patience and attentiveness. He creates a supportive learning environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Every lesson leaves me feeling inspired and more confident in my playing. If you're looking for a teacher who is both skilled and genuinely cares about your progress, I highly recommend Kristóf!

Anna
I might not know much about flute, but what I know is that if you want to learn it, Anna's your gal. She's fun, smart, punctual and really professional and, to top it off, a really good teacher. She is going to make you feel appraised for your smallest accomplishments (which will definitely help you evolve much faster than using any conventional book/online course etc.) and will find the sweet spot between theoretical concepts and fun, practical songs to keep you entertained. I myself had an internal kerfuffle and nearly quit after 2 weeks of trying to learn flute. But flute can be fun and entertaining, and Anna's teaching method is the proof to that lemma!
