Michiel (1993) comes from Leersum, where he started as a trombonist with the band Eendracht Maakt Macht Leersum. Angélique is an amazing teacher, I have been having lessons with her for the last couple of years. One of her strongest assets is that she pays attention to the needs of each individual student. For myself, I was interested to improve my oral skills, communication and vocabulary (alongside learning the necessary grammar) and I have seen such an improvement. Lessons are nicely structured and with a variation of activities, again paying attention to the needs of the student. Angélique is also really good with the communication. Lessons are always pleasant and enjoyable, which can make a difference in student's motivation. I wish I had more teachers with such positive attitude and motivation when I was younger.

Who truly knows how to tailor a programme to each individual student. In 3 weeks, I've grown from knowing close to no grammar to being able to form proper sentences for everyday use. One aspect I value a lot about her way of teaching is that we apply the grammar not only to every-day situations but also to topics that tailor to my personal life circumstances. I have been convinced that, with the help of Marina, I will be able to grow my Mandarin skills exponentially over the next few months.
