Being able to play an instrument is a skill that benefits listeners and players themselves. I have experience working with people at different levels. My goal is to make the learning enjoyable for the student and ensure the progress is made. I spend extra time if necessary on explaining things to make sure the student understands what is required and his confidence is improved. From music theory, through composing, understanding music and practical playing, I am here to help you learn at whatever level of music you are - either if you are beginning your music journey or want to continue and progress on what you already know.

I have been playing the violin and piano for over 20 years now, graduating in 2015 from the Royal College of Music with a first-class bachelor's degree in violin performance, and have recently started an Advanced Diploma in Performance at the Royal Academy of Music. I have performed extensively all over the UK as a soloist, most notably as a strings finalist on BBC young musician of the year, and at the Battle Proms concert series to audiences of up to 12,000. I've also delved into the Folk world a little and was on tv for the BBC Radio 2 folk awards as part of Jim Moray's band! I started officially teaching at 17, coaching local teachers more advanced students. From there I became Professor Berent Korfker's private assistant at 18, teaching his younger students from the Purcell School and alike. Being able to work with such talented students was extremely inspiring and excited me to start my own class with complete beginners on both violin and piano. I now have a hugely mixed class in both ability and age (4 to over 50!) with a 100% pass rate in their exams. My approach has always depended on the student's age, ability, and character. For younger students, I incorporate games, with them often wondering how the lessons finished so quickly! I like to create a fun environment for musical development where questions are encouraged, and all students are taught how to teach themselves and apply techniques learned in the lesson to the practice room.

I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My mum is a piano teacher, I was in this sphere for all my life. As I was teaching, I had international students from Germany and Italy. It makes me experienced in English language teaching. Learning how to play cello can be very frustrating sometimes if you don’t find the right exercises or motivation. Maybe you just want to learn how to play some song of your liking, or maybe you want to start to become a professional musician. Either way, I like to work with music and find the best way for my students to enjoy the lessons and learn at their own rythm.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
