I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

I'm offering productive music lessons in a friendly environment. I'll guide your development from any level. I treat every student as an individual, and I adapt my approach accordingly - whether making music is your hobby or you have rather serious plans with it. Depending on what you aim for, I'll choose nice pieces/songs and interesting exercises. I always care about leaving my students with the necessary tools for practice on their own when I'm not around to guide them. You'll learn a stable intonation, and develop your rhythmical sense, musical interpretation, good posture, and apparatus that works for you individually. Together we can go not only for classical but also pop, rock or film music. What you might also enjoy during the lesson is playing together in a duo with me - so you can experience making music with another person, which is super fun! There is many fantastic advantages to learning music, such as the growth of your musical taste and artistic sensitivity, and as even science proves - enhancement of your brain capacity. Hello! I’m Alessandro, I graduated in Pescara and Bologna conservatories in piano and chamber music and now I’m attending the master in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. As a dedicated harp instructor, my primary aim is to cultivate a passion for the harp in each of my students. I accomplish this through theoretical knowledge and hands-on experimentation, ensuring that learning the harp is engaging and enjoyable. My teaching approach is highly adaptable, and tailored to suit the individual needs and learning styles of my students. Drawing from my background in the Suzuki method, particularly effective with younger learners, I strive to make lessons enjoyable and memorable, thereby facilitating quicker and more effective learning.

"Music for Babies" is a course for children from 0 to 4 years and also for pregnant women. Listening to music has a positive effect on the language and reading development of the child. We will sing songs, listen to music and play with instruments. Each group consists of 5 children with a parent. Come and make music in a warm homely atmosphere! The courses start on different days and times. It is possible in Dutch or English.

I am a violin and piano teacher from Cape Town South Africa where I graduated with Honours in a Bachelor in violin performance from the University of Cape Town with distinction. Most recently I graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2021) with a Master's Degree in Music Education (specialising in violin). I have 7 years of violin teaching experience and 3 years of piano teaching experience. Most of my students have been young children but I have also had students of all ages, from children as young as three years old to adults who are in retirement. Attending Kodaly training at the conservatory has equipped me to teach from an auditory and songs based perspective, where singing is integrated into the instrumental lessons. I also use movement inside of lessons, as I have had some training inside of the Dalcroze eurhythmics approach. This approach sees movement as the embodiment of the music. I also actively incorporate elements of creativity in my teaching, for example creating improvisations, or making musical stories. In terms of my own experience in music, I have performed as a solo violinist with the orchestra as well as being an ad hoc tutti violinist for the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, and with the baroque violin for the Camerata Tinta Barocca and Cape Consort. I have performed with traditional African musicians and ensembles, as well as with dancers for instance in MusicDance021 which is an interdisciplinary real-time composition project.

I am currently studying at The Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag and I offer violin and piano lessons for all levels and all ages ! I have experienced in teaching since several years, in music schools and in private ! I would be very happy to share my passion with you and teach you one (or both!) of these beautiful instruments! Over João R. Hello everyone! My name is João, piano and harpsichord player. I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop. I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life! I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated. I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory. Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson. I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director.
