Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience in live performances and studio sessions working with various artists and bands. For over a decade, I have served as a music theory and guitar teacher and tutor in esteemed music schools and in private, helping students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching success is evident in the remarkable achievements of my students, as I have guided them towards scholarships and degrees with exceptional outcomes. As a solo artist, my primary focus is on guitar techniques, improvisation, composition in Rock, Metal, indie ambient soundscapes, funky, and Jazz styles, as well as acoustic folk, bluegrass, fingerstyle and manouche. I am well known for being friendly, passionate, and supportive in my teaching approach. I offer lessons in both English and Greek. I am a composer and pianist and I give piano lessons to kids and adults of a wide range of levels! In my classes, my goal is to approach piano playing in a holistic way, starting with a healthy posture, but also musical expression. We will work on memory, on the dependency of each hand and finger, integrating in every lesson the music theory and singing along with exercises on rhythm (TAKADIMI system of rhythm solfege) and last but not least, creation (through improvisation and other creative tasks) which will offer you the possibility to craft and master in a deeper level your piano skills. The structure and the material of the lesson derive from established piano methods and further music bibliography and they are adjusted to your skills, preferences, and wishes. I am always interested in transcribing some of my pupils' favorite pieces on piano according to their skills, something that often is very useful and fruitful for their progress. In the first lesson we will talk about your interests, motivation, and goals and we will create together a personal course structure. Experience in ABRSM piano performance exams in case you are interested in achieving a grade. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Vlad is an electronic music producer and composer with more than a decade experience in producing sound design and bespoke productions and compositon for movie, theatre, games and live events.
