I am a native English language speaker with 5 to 6 years experience in tutoring English to people between the ages of 3 to 20. Therefore I have had the opportunity to experience several different types of tutees as well as English backgrounds. I also have study plans, based on varying English levels, that will enable a person to become fluent in both written and oral English. I currently live in Istanbul and can provide both online and in-person classes, depending on the requirement and location.

Hi everyone! I’m presently a student of Genetics and Bioengineering in Istanbul Bilgi University. As majority universities are leaning towards English as the primary source of instruction in Istanbul, I feel it is important to have full command over the language. I have studied English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology under the Cambridge Assessment International Education and have secured A’s and B’s in both my Ordinary and Advanced Level Exams. I had a 3.4 GPA in university. My Biology, Chemistry, Physics and BILET test preparation classes will include detailed discussions of topics as well as solving examples and queries/homework questions.

In my Spanish lessons, I prioritize both skill development and grammar mastery. My goal is to empower students to apply their language abilities authentically in real-life situations. For DELE and Cambridge assessment preparation sessions, students should possess a strong command of Spanish. During these lessons, I meticulously guide them through understanding the test structures while honing their skills and sub-skills, ensuring they are well-prepared to achieve optimal results. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
