Young cellist gives cello lessons. Play the cello!

I am a young professional Brazilian cellist, with 9 years of study and profession, I have lived in Paris for a few months, and have several students from a wide range of ages and skill levels. I graduated from the University of São Paulo, I specialize in baroque music in Paris and I work with several renowned ensembles of early European music. I also play modern music, with my solo cello and electronic music project, I had the chance to participate in the biggest Brazilian festivals, such as the Festival "Campos do Jordão" in 2018, 2019 and 2022. I offer cello lessons for all levels and all styles (classical cello, baroque cello and modern cello), with the possibility of following the lessons at home, by webcam or at home, in English, French, Portuguese. I apply different methods of technique depending on each student and his or her projects and objectives. From Suzuki to the standard methods to pure technique applied to the repertory directly, I utilise elements from the french, American and german schools of cello playing. I also allow for group work, and the possibility of playing with friends or colleagues, so I often suggest creating small ensembles to share and learn good music with others.

I teach my students how to play the cello and use it to express their inner voice. I'm currently doing my master's at Luzern Hoschule and I have already taught privately for 5 years and was also a professor at a music academy. I always try to pick the artistic side of my students and give them the tools to express themselves. Every class will be adapting to the student's struggles and evolution. My student's ages go from early age to adult and elderly.

Learn to improvise, jam and create your own music. I am a cellist, composer and improviser specialising in working with string players to unlock and devlop creative potential. I will work with you to deveop a bespoke course to help you develop skills in improvisation. Areas covered: Jazz improvisation - Blues, Standards, Harmony, Bass Lines, Finding Chords, Building and Creating Solos, Elarnig repertoire. Baroque Imrpovisation - Ground Bass, Partimento realisation and developing cadenzas for classical repertoire Free/Folk and other styles - we can explore any styles of improvisation, and discuss how to develop your skills. I am a professor of Imrpovisation at the Royal Colege of Music in London, and a composer and performer of my own music internationally.

Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.

I am Zhanshu, a cellist from China with extensive experience in cello playing and music education. I previously obtained my Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK and then completed my Master's degree at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany. I currently teach at several music schools and have experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. Through my many years of teaching practice, I have gained valuable experience and can develop an individually tailored curriculum for each student. I offer flexible lesson times, which can be booked in different lengths (30, 45, 60, 90 minutes). I believe that every student has a unique musical potential, so I always adapt my lessons to the needs and goals of my students to help them progress in both technique and musical expression.

Hi ! I am Héloïse, a French cellist and singer who lives in The Netherlands since two years. I finished to study at HKU Utrecht Conservatorium in June and am now a professional musician and, among other a cello teacher at the Lindenberg Center in Nijmegen. After teaching music theory for two years in a french conservatory, I realized how much teaching is very important for me and helps me to grow as a musician. I like to adapt to the student and try to find a solution in any pedagogical situation. I can teach all cello and singing levels, and all ages. I can also give some music theory lessons. I am an Israeli cellist living in Berlin, and for the past years I have been performing in various renowned festival such as Yellow Barn, Lumières d’Europa and Geneva International Academy while pursuing my bachelors degree under the guidance of Prof. Frans Helmerson. Throughout the years, I have always been fascinated with the art of teaching. Through my main mentor, Prof. Zvi Plesser (The Julliard School), I learned more then just cello playing. I learned the value of persistence, search for beauty and expression. I have had the fortune of working and performing with todays most prominent musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Krzysztof Chorzelski (Belcea Quartet), Donald Weilerstein and Gary Hoffman. Now, after finishing my studies, I am eager to share my knowledge with you! My teaching approach is inspired by Paul Harris’ “Simultaneous Learning” and Phyllis Young’s “Playing the String Game”. I combine games and natural instinct to help my students understand playing the cello without overly-complicated instructions. With 4 years of experience, I’m confident in taking on both young and adult students, from beginners all the way to diploma level, guiding their journey throughout.
