Hello! My name is George and I'm a fourth year student in jazz guitar at the Codarts conservatory here in Rotterdam, though my guitar journey began at the age of nine. I have been teaching a variety of students of different ages and backgrounds for the passed two years. My aim as a teacher is not to overwhelm students with theory and sight-reading. Instead, I prefer to teach you practical ways to develop your own musical interests. If you are beginner struggling to achieve clear,clean notes or play a full song in tempo I can show you the most effective way to achieve rapid results. If you are passed the beginner stage I can help you with my specialised knowledge in jazz, pop, blues and rock. With a degree in Jazz Saxophone from Leeds Conservatoire, I have high technical ability and a in depth knowledge of Jazz music theory. This is supported by my gigging portfolio that has seen me perform on tour across Europe, as well as many UK festivals, and on stages with bands such as Madness and The Blockheads. I tailor lessons to individuals, to help aid development and generate a strong passion for one's music. Music is subjective so I find it key for learning to be student led so as to keep sustained interest and generate a positive development cycle.

I have been teaching classical and electric guitar for 20 years to students of all ages (from 6 -7) and levels of preparedness. My classes are not just about learning, but also about the joy of playing the guitar while making the learning easy, stress-free, and most of all - fun, so you or your kids would want to continue! The classes can go from the basics to learning the scales and chords, transcribing the licks of your favorite guitar players, improvising solos and playing your favorite songs and compositions.
