Taught by Niketha, a Computer Science undergraduate from the University of Florida (Presidential honor roll, Summa cum laude) - this class offers comprehensive instruction in mathematics. I am interested in distilling difficult concepts through abstraction and my teaching methodology is to focus on strengthening skills in foundational topics through conceptual understanding and applied problem solving (through exercises). Math instruction ranges from algebra and precalculus to advanced topics like collegiate level real analysis (Analysis 1 & 2). I have previously tutored A level mathematics students (facilitated grade jump from C to A).

I have the curiosity and eagerness to learn. It gives me a natural ability to teach because I believe only a good student can be a good teacher. I have tutoring experience in the past. I have completed my graduation in engineering. On the professional front, I am a banker. I moved to the Netherlands and am currently on a break. I would love to indulge in my passion for teaching. If you are struggling with a specific subject, we can look together at what you are good at and what we can best focus on during the sessions. A few subjects that I have coached students in in the past are: mathematics, business economics, economics, arithmetic, accounting/accountancy, cost accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, corporate finance, risk management and investments. I give tips on which information is most important, how you can best prepare for the subject, and how you can best read test questions. This method has proven to be very effective! During my sessions I coach almost everyone! From pupils at the vmbo to (almost) graduates at the university, in all financial-economic subjects. Because of this I have developed a coaching structure that is effective, efficient, and fun. During exam training I work with old exams with a focus on the latest developments in the field. In this way I ensure that students get a good grip on the exam material and enter the exams with confidence. During the training I teach the students how an exam is structured so that they feel familiar with the final exam. Tutoring or homework support are designed in consultation. Some pupils or students benefit from doing assignments together, while others need more explanation of the theory.

I usually teach math and economics in English to students who want to become scientists. I help write a good paper. As long as Corona is there, it is possible via Teams, Zoom, or Skype, but in principle, the lessons in my building are within walking distance of the Central Station.

During my studies in Econometrics at the University of Amsterdam (graduated in 2015, MSc.) and in addition to my job as a consultant, I have always taught mathematics and statistics to secondary school students and university students (HBO and WO) with great pleasure. Since 2022 I work parttime as a math teacher and educational advisor in the Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam and besides I teach private students.
