I am a first year master's student at EPFL, in biology. I offer support courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the courses offered. The student will find a framework where they can ask these questions, discuss methodologies and improve. Putting my knowledge at the service of other people is something I like to share. Dear student, I am a chemist graduated from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). I have always been fascinated by science and now I hold a doctorate in solid-state physics from the University of Geneva. Science subjects can help you pass exams. I have been teaching these disciplines for many years during exercise sessions held at the University as well as in private lessons given as an independent. For this reason, you will have the possibility to ask me for explanations on any subject. It is indeed useful that you can progress on the basis of what you already know. You will of course have the choice to ask me for remedial lessons to revise or discover entire chapters. Before the first lesson starts, I will invite you to explain your situation to me freely and free of charge so that we can work effectively from the first lesson. All scientific subjects have in common a method that is called "scientific logic". Whenever the opportunity arises, I will offer you elements of this method because it is this method that will allow you to understand durably and to solve the exercises rigorously. The French course includes: - Oral skills including conversations - Basics of grammar and spelling - Writing skills - Reading, Text analysis - Vocabulary - Support and assistance with homework Suitable for: students up to secondary school + non-French speaking native speakers wishing to learn French English courses include: - Vocabulary - Conversations - Basics of grammar and spelling - Reading, Text analysis - Support and assistance with homework Suitable for: levels up to high school + adults wishing to learn English as an additional language Mathematics courses include: - Basic arithmetic (fundamental operations addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, etc.) - Algebra (solving equations and inequalities, of several degrees) - Geometry - Functions and graphs (notion of function, reading and drawing graphs, linear and quadratic equations, interpretation of data from graphs) - Statistics and probabilities: calculation of means, median, mode, standard deviation, simple and combined probabilities, graphical representation of data (histograms, diagrams, etc.) - Logic and mathematical reasoning (learning demonstrations, developing logical reasoning) - Introduction to analysis (limits, basic derivatives, introduction to the notions of continuity and slope - Applied mathematics: Everyday life problems (interest calculation, optimization, unit conversions) Courses can be given up to the second year of high school.

During a mathematics or scientific branch course, the student has specific questions or subjects to address (ranging from compulsory school to the end of the gymnasium in maturity/reinforced math) in order to fill in the gaps in the subject . If he wants to get ahead of the program or needs help with homework/exercises, this is also possible.

I offer mathematics courses adapted to all levels, whether for primary school students, secondary school students or students preparing for competitive exams. I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

As a Master of Data Science student at EPFL, mathematics is an important part of my academic curriculum. During my studies, I had the opportunity to act as a student assistant at EPFL in various courses in the Computer Science section. These experiences allowed me to develop a teaching spirit. I really enjoy passing on my knowledge and helping students develop their reasoning skills. My goal is to make people love mathematics, offer an intuitive understanding of the topics covered in order to guide students towards better results and greater autonomy.

FOR WHOM, FOR WHAT: This course aims to provide a framework for the preparation of future students at EPFL. Many students are preparing for the start of the new school year at EPFL, but many of them are lost and don't know where to start. Some drag gaps from gymnasium/college with them, which prevent them from starting to learn/relearn math and physics and prepare well for the start of the school year. In this course, I propose to supervise the student in his preparation. This course is adapted to the level in mathematics (standard and advanced) and physics (standard) of all sections of EPFL*. CONTENTS : The course aims to adapt to the needs of the student. In particular, it is common to: - resume gym/college classes -identify and address remaining gym/college gaps - Fly over new subjects (the goal being not to be surprised when introducing them to the university) -Work on certain subjects in advance -Develop a work strategy and get organized -Share experience/give advice -Present the exam modalities (within the limits of my knowledge) Note that the courses are flexible. Student in the first year of a master's degree in environment at EPFL and having followed scientific studies in France, I propose a school support in science targeted so as to advance the student so that it fills its gaps or even take the advanced. The session will be prepared before each meeting and a small personal work will be requested for the next session.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from EPFL, and I am currently a 2nd year student of a Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL. I am available to assist you in your revisions, whether by helping you understand certain concepts, solving exercises or anything else that could help you. With an average higher than 5/6 in the Bachelor, my skills in mathematics and computer science (whether theoretical or programming) are solid to help students ranging from primary school to the beginning of the Bachelor. Having been an assistant in EPFL courses on several occasions, I particularly enjoy helping my students understand concepts with which they have difficulty, by giving them a new vision.
