I started playing when I was 8 years old, and I keep finding reasons for repeatedly falling in love with it, which is something I would love to share with everyone who would like to get closer to this wonderful instrument. I obtained my bachelor's degree in classical performance in Barcelona, and I am currently pursuing my master's in Rotterdam. Hello! My name is Bjørk and I’m a professional double bass player living and teaching here in Amsterdam. I have 2 diplomas in Jazz Bass from Sweden and a degree in Jazz Bass Performance from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I love teaching and I have taught since 2016. And I love the bass! I teach double bass, electric bass, composition, improvisation and music theory. I have experience teaching complete beginners with zero prior musical knowledge to more advanced players.
