Hello everyone! My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire. I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision. After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music. In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music. Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions. In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world. I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.

She lives in Utrecht and studies at the Rotterdam Codarts Conservatory of Music, and has already a master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory (with pedagogical training as well) She teaches in English, Spanish, Italian, German and soon in Dutch. Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game. Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:) I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now! Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation. Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works. This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry. I would like to teach you to learn to play the piano. Music is an indispensable thing in life, in my opinion. The lessons will be in person at my home on location (online is possible in consultation) and the teaching method will be adapted to knowledge, technique and age. I can teach you technique as well as the fundamentals of music theory. Of course it's a lot more fun if you can also just play your favorite pieces! I believe that development of technique is better practiced by learning and applying it in actual pieces of music instead of exercise books of, for example, Alfred's piano method. The class is centered around the students needs, whether it is to prepare for a piano exam or learn to play popular songs. I teach in a fun and relaxed way which will make you or your child excited about this instrument. My qualification is the Royal School of Music ABRSM highest exam level, having achieved Grade 8.

The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. In my lessons I'll garantee you learn all this skills and you start making music since the very first day.

I'm Selen. Classical Cum Laude pianist..... I give lessons in Rotterdam Center or online, you are welcome here for a year course of 40 lessons. I can help beginners reach a level fast in which they can enjoy playing the music they like. I can also help intermediate level players develop their technique, musicality and move towards acquiring a unique taste.
