Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Hi, My name is Katarina Viktoria and I am a multi-cultured music student. I was born in Latvia to a Ukrainian/Russian mother and a Swedish father. At the age of 3 we moved to Switzerland where I grew up in a German and Swiss German environment and these two languages became native to me. During my life in Switzerland we moved to the US for a year where I learned English and went to primary school. Later in life I moved to the Netherlands to study Classical Voice at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I grew up in a big family with lots of kids (I have 9 siblings), I know how to communicate with kids of various ages and how to teach them in a playful matter. I love cpommunicating with people, which is also the base of my classes. How I build up my classes always depends on my student’s wishes, whether it’s the wish to improve their communication skills or to work on their grammar. I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible, using different exercises to playfully learn the language. I always aim for variations, we speak, we write, we read and we listen. I can also give homework and correct it, if that’s what the student wants. If the wish is only to communicate and to improve the pronounciation, that’s also fine by me.
