Methodology I base my teaching what the student wants to learn and also through years of teaching and learning I can help guide you on this path. Techniques, phrase development, solo, accompaniment, odd rhythms and creation of your own sound. We will cover traditional rhythms from Turkey, the Balkans, Egypt. I can teach darbuka and bendir from beginner to advanced level. Riq, indian tabla, konnakol, cajon, daf, indian tabla and percussion set ups can also be taught A bit about me: I have been playing oriental percussion professionally since 2010 with many groups and touring all over the world and I've recorded albums for groups such as Light in Babylon.

I'm a professional drummer from Spain, but living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I have studied Latin drums at Codarts, university of the arts, in Rotterdam, so I've acquired a lot of knowledge and skills on Cuban and Brazilian music, jazz, funk and Pop. I've performed in places such as: North Sea Jazz Festival, Het Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Tivoli (Utrecht), Jazzcafe Dizzy, etc...

Since 2012 I have been teaching with a clear mission: to provide each student with the necessary tools to develop their autonomy and creativity, with a practical approach that integrates theory as a complement to active learning. I graduated from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. I have been teaching for over 5 years with students from France, Sweden and the USA. Trained at the conservatory, then at the Progressive Drum School, I then sought to improve myself by taking private lessons from references such as Loïc Pontieux, Franky Costanza, Kevin Reveyrend or Franck Aghulon. I have taught drums and music theory to students of all ages, all levels and in different contexts: recreational practice, exam preparation, putting on shows. I have also conducted musical workshops for organizations such as youth centers, elementary or nursery schools, and social centers, for projects ranging from musical awareness to the production of shows or music videos. I therefore have very comprehensive teaching experience and know how to adapt to different audiences. Now being a full-time professional musician, I also want to share my professional experience with students. During my teaching career I have questioned myself a lot about the problem of the teaching method because there is no single model of student and giving a course is not just giving a list of exercises. So I try to understand the student and advise him on the best method and the best pace of practice.
