Hi, My name is Jeremy and I have a Master's in Physics with honors from the University of Leicester (featured as a top 5 Physics university in the UK by The Guardian) and a - french - European School diploma in which I achieved 90% in Physics and 85% in Maths. Helping others understand difficult topics and skills is something that I am very passionate about as an empathetic person. I have experience teaching Physics and Maths to kids from unprivileged backgrounds at the homework school in Saint-Gilles (CASG du Service Social Juif asbl) as well as through 3 years of private teaching. In my classes, I aim to: - help students achieve better grades in exams/tests in all branches of Physics & Maths - clearly explain and break down topics - give context and or example applications of topics (to improve understanding and memorization) - help with ADHD & other learning disabilities - give practical advice for university applications (eg. UCAS in the UK) and discuss the exciting Physics research/work and projects you can work on later in life Physics has a plethora of useful and fascinating applications, from the detection of Gravitational Waves and Gamma-Ray Bursts to the development of novel Medical Imaging techniques and Nano-technology (eg: smartphones). It is a subject that I am very passionate about and I hope to make use of my years of experience and extensive knowledge to help you understand and love the subject! Having obtained my Engineering degree in June 2018 and currently working as a Software Engineer in an IT company, I want to share my knowledge acquired during my studies with people of all ages in the Brussels region. My goal is to help my students approach the subject from a different angle so that they feel more comfortable and confident. I adapt my lessons to everyone by combining theory, exercises and practical examples. This period is ideal for getting back up to speed and possibly adopting a new working methodology in order to best approach the end of year session. I am a civil engineer in construction and during my career, I made a specialization in chemistry, physics. I give lessons in everything related to science: math, physics, chemistry... I have been teaching in Belgium and even in England since 2015. Generally I ask the student to give me the material he wants to work on and the best thing is for him to prepare his questions so that we can move forward faster instead of being blocked and at the risk of reviewing parts that he has already understood. (Although I once had a class where I completely re-explained the teacher's syllabus.) I also ask to become familiar with the material and nothing is better for that than doing a lot of exercises.

Naturally caring and empathetic, I try to always remain positive and give the child confidence in his abilities. I adapt to the needs of each student and offer personalized support to monitor the work carried out and check that the results agree with the educational objectives set at the start of the support work.

I like to explain mathematics both to students who have more difficulty conceptualizing its fundamental notions as well as to those who understand them more easily. I strive to present mathematics in an intelligent and understandable way. Indeed, the clarity of explanations is one of the most important aspects to consider when teaching mathematics. Also, I am aware of the stress that students sometimes feel and therefore I make it a point that students do not feel any stress from a math class but rather that they work to their best of their abilities in a relaxed and pleasant setting.

Hi, I’m Ross, an analyst and policy advisor for the UK civil service, currently on a yearlong career break. I’ve been a maths tutor on and off since I was a university student. I’m offering virtual tuition and I’m very flexible with which days for the week and time of day. I have a BSc in Economics and A Level Mathematics and have experience as a teaching assistant at a Secondary School, supporting KS3 and GCSE students and specifically supporting neurodiverse students. I have been working in analysis, applying mathematics and economic skills for 8 years since graduating. I have very positive 1:1 tuition experience with students at KS3 and GCSE level. Hello, after two years of preparation for Henri-IV, I joined CentraleSupélec (Paris), where I touched on quantum physics as well as fundamental math, before realizing that I also liked to transmit this knowledge. In my classes, the objective is to understand in order to succeed. Often math loses us because it seems too abstract. To move forward, I help you make it all visual and clear, using images, analogies and tips. I teach mathematics, physics and chemistry since 4 years, from elementary up to terminal class in high school. I've taken various kinds of pupils under my wing ever since I started teaching, and have acquired an experience that allows me to adapt to the pupil's needs, especially when it comes to such hard subjects. In my classes, I am patient and promote both discipline and hard work, two notions that I try my best to teach my pupils so that they keep training in between sessions because a having tutor alone is pointless if no effort is made on the pupil's part.

The methods I use adapt to the needs of each student. This is the advantage of a particular course: the student can make a specific request to me: problem of comprehension, problem of methodology, training on a specific subject, preparation for an exam, ... and we work together towards a common goal. We begin by reviewing the theoretical bases if I see that they are not understood or assimilated correctly and then I always accompany the theory of the most concrete examples possible and exercises of application. I make sure that the child or the young person is an actor of his own learning because it will be beneficial to him in the future. From one class to another, I check if the previous lesson has been understood before moving further into the subject. I am currently working as a math and science teacher as well as remediation for young people outside the traditional school curriculum; while finishing a master's degree in education sciences. I made that choice after working as a volunteer in several schools because I am passionate about youth and education. I give private lessons for several years, which gives me some experience in the field.
