I am a student at ETH Zurich and have been playing the piano enthusiastically for over 15 years. During this time I have taken part in several competitions and successfully won prizes. My name is Ava and currently I‘m doing second year in Master in Music Pedagogy in Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Professor Konstantin Scherbakov. I have done my first Master - Master in Music Performance in ZHdK as well. Furthermore, I have done my Bachelor in Music (Piano) and a Bachelor in Languages and International Relations in Oporto - Portugal.

The most important thing for me is to create a pleasant and motivating atmosphere in which the focus is on making music. I am convinced that the best way to learn the flute is to play the music you enjoy playing. The lessons are based on making music together, giving you the tools to practice at home in a fun and efficient way. The lessons can be in German, English or Spanish. We are happy to do a free interview to get to know each other and talk about your goals with the flute. You don't need any prior knowledge. I will do my best to adapt the lessons to your wishes and needs. About me: I am currently doing a master's degree in music performance with Sarah Rumer at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. I have over 7 years experience as a flute teacher and have had students of all ages and levels. I love teaching flute and sharing my passion for the flute with anyone who wants to learn to play it. I completed my pedagogical studies at the Conservatorio Superior "Manuel de Falla" in Buenos Aires with distinction. I have 6 years of experience in several orchestras, such as the National Youth Orchestra of Argentina and I have also won prizes in various flute competitions, including first prize in the International Competition «La Flauta Latinoamericana».

Learning how to play piano with me not just about a skill you are going to master with me. It is about passion, love and discovering your new talents from a completely different perspective. It is about discovering your inner star and then being able to reveal it to others - it is why I regularly organize concerts for students at the best concert locations in Switzerland. Your level of skills does not matter - I have tailored programs for beginners as well as for intermediate level. I also help young pianists to get ready for exams to music universities and getting scholarships.

As part of his training, he also took several courses and seminars with renowned guitarists, such as Pablo Márquez, Eduardo Fernández, Walter Ujaldón, and Miguel de Olaso. In the last ten years, he was featured regularly as a soloist and with different ensembles in the main concert halls in Buenos Aires city, such as CCK, Usina del Arte and Centro Nacional de la Música. I can teach in English, Spanish, and High German. More about my classes My guitar teaching model is based on books and the approach of guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro. In some way, it is about understanding and analyzing the nature of the movements we make to play the guitar or ukelele in the simplest way possible. Just as to build a building you need a good foundation, to build a system of skills that allows us to be musicians, we need to know and practice in a conscious way all the movements we do. These movements are what we do when we play just one open string or what we need to do to play the most difficult piece of the repertoire. After getting to know and listening to how my students play I propose a short and medium-term work plan. This plan is presented taking into account the objectives and wishes of each student. Exercises and pieces are included that will also allow to know the repertoire of the guitar. Therefore, each work plan includes specific and general contents.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

This course is above all there to make you want to play the guitar, let it be a pleasure! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and role of the guitar.
