Trusted teacher: 여러분, 안녕하세요? 🇰🇷 Do you want to start learning Korean and do you want to do it in an organised way? 🇰🇷 Did you already get started on learning but you got stuck on a particular grammar? 🇰🇷 Are you aiming for a TOPIK 1-2 language exam and do you want to get prepared in as short and effective a time as possible? As a language tutor with over 10 years of didactic experience and a TOPIK level 5 language exam, I can help you overcome difficulties and reach your goals. My love with Korean language and culture started more than 10 years ago thanks to my amazing Korean friends that I made during my first exchange year in Japan. Fast forward to 2016, I spent one semester in Korea as part of my individual research trip abroad to collect materials for my PhD which later turned into another semester of working holiday as an English tutor. This year spent in Korea was my real motivation to start learning the language properly so that I could connect more to the locals. For me this was a very enjoyable, but at the same time challenging process. As a result, I can completely relate to your struggles. That is why I like to make sure that I teach my students in the way that I wish I had learned when I was a beginner. I can assist you with grammar, pronunciation, and script (but also hanja and cultural notes) up to a TOPIK level 1-2. If you have a favourite vlogger, comedian or song that you want to translate in class, that is also no problem: my classes are very open to your input to turn your progress into a really personal experience.

Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Karolina and I am a professional singer, as well as an upcoming music therapist. I studied Jazz Music at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen and at the moment I am completing my Master studies in Music Therapy at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede, The Netherlands. I also hold a degree of the Orff Approach (Orff Schulwerk), a developmental approach used in music education, which combines music, movement, and speech and it is a great approach for children 4-8 years old. I specialize in jazz and Brazilian repertoire, but I also teach Greek folk singing. The lessons are designed according to the needs of each student. Some of the focusing areas are listed below: 1. Vocal Technique: We focus on vocal technique elements such as breath control, vocal range, the use of all registers, and timbres of your voice. The goal is to sing effortlessly. With the vocal technique, you will get the chance to explore your voice and build confidence in your voice. 2. Repertoire: Together we can build your repertoire step by step and focus on the phrasing of each style. You will choose the repertoire you like and you can always ask for advice in case you want to explore new musical styles. A great time of enjoyment during classes where you will be singing your heart out! 3. Improvisation: Vocal improvisation is a great way to explore the voice and also express your feelings. It will also boost your creativity and musicality. Specific exercises can also guide you through this process step by step and in that way we will explore vocal improvisation. FOR CHILDREN (4-8 years old): I am specialized in music education for children 4-8 years old. Using the Orff Approach children will have a great creative time for themselves where they learn music by using their whole body. Experiencing and learning music through playing! Suggested Duration for Lessons for Children: 30-45min depending on the age. I am looking forward to starting an inspiring musical journey with you! Karolina

Trusted teacher: Hello! Is your son/daughter struggling with the way his/her teacher is explaining things in class? Are they having difficulties keeping up with the learning pace or are they still struggling with understanding the basic principles? Do they have an issue with staying focused for prolonged periods of time, or do they simply not enjoy the subject at all? My name is Farris, and I am currently a 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student studying at TU Delft. I have a strong international background, having lived most of my life outside the Netherlands and at international schools. Upon completing my secondary education at The International School of The Hague in 2020, I began tutoring students from the school who struggled with mathematics and physics and have been doing so ever since. My tutoring sessions often follow quite an unorthodox approach. As a younger student myself, I struggled massively with mathematics and physics at a younger age, mostly due to issues with focusing and understanding, as well as being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Over the years I developed methods of dealing with such issues, and it is those methods that I use in my tutoring sessions to help students progress in their academics. I live near the Rotterdam Centrum area. Tutoring sessions can happen at my house, at public locations (Rotterdam Central Library), at the home of the student (depending on location), or online on a call. If a student is hesitant to learn one-on-one, or has a friend/classmate whom would also like to be tutored, dual sessions can take place whereby both students are tutored simultaneously. Feel free to send me a direct message if you have any questions or would like to book a session for your child!

Trusted teacher: SPECIALISED IN TEACHING ADULTS. Would you like to learn one of the instruments which have more style possibilities? Would you like to know why many composers say that is a very powerful instrument because it fits in may situations? Did you know that in the Klezmer history clarinet substituted the violin for projection reasons but also because perfectly able to imitate the human voice, crying or laughing? Would you like to discover the fascinating world of clarinet? One of my priorities as a musician is the sound. I believe that with a beautiful and personal sound you are able at every level to transmit emotion and meaning, it doesn’t matter the difficulty or the level. So I try to focus first on awareness of what’s beautiful for the student and what’s not. Then through technique and repertoire (suggestions of the student or suggestions of mine that can help to grow the student curiosity), we develop the student knowledge. Always helping the student to understand -depending on his/her the theoretical level- what we are doing, putting together music and theory. And giving tools to expand the border, at all levels. I have knowledge and experience in Jazz, Classical, Klezmer, Choro Music and Improvisation. You just need a precious element! • Music Theory I focus on having a good basics, spending as much as we need to understand every single thing, because then with times it becomes more easy. I try to help the student simplifying the material because then, we only with ourselves with a good procedure of the basics to solve any problem. Only with one lesson, you will understand what I mean. I have experience in preparing students for exams, the ones for the semester as well as any official exam; doesn't matter if you have an intermediate theory level and you want to improve, or if you would like to be stronger solidifying the knowledge you have (which is always the best option), or if you don’t know anything about notes and music concepts and you would like to be familiar with them. Maybe you are an adult who always wanted to improvise but doesn’t know where to start...? The only thing you need is a good organization -which I can provide- to reach any goal!

Austėja
So far, I had three lessons with Austeja. And my experience is great, more than I could have ever expected. Austeja is very knowledgeable about music and knows how to coach singing adepts in their singing aspirations. She is very supportive, explaining step by step the ways to achieve the target, to find a right tone, to expand your talents. She helped me feel confident about singing and with every lesson, I feel more enthusiastic and more passionate about singing.
