Oil painting is arguably both the most rewarding and the most forgiving medium. Often misunderstood as too difficult and chemical-reliant, you will be shown how simple it can be to produce the most vibrant and atmospheric images. This class is applicable to all levels of skill, branching off into more complex ideas about image-making for those who already have experience with the medium. In such instances, we can begin to look at indirect painting approaches including underpainting and glazing.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

This class covers essential concepts such as the colour wheel, colour mixing, hue, value, saturation and how to use contrast effectively. These online workshops offer opportunity for arrival, expansion and connection through a combination of meditation, movement and story-making exercises. Each workshop lasts 90 minutes and a typical session may include stretching and movement exercises, improvisation games, collaborative storytelling and guided meditation. Each session offers the opportunity for experiencing and practicing grounding (being connected to our present space and time) and offers us connection with our imagination, with our creativity and with the others in our group. Learning objectives : Understanding art appreciation, visual literacy, culture and history. Documentation will be followed by experimentation process. During the practical process, the learner will need to demonstrate skills in drawing and painting media while doing direct observations from objects, photos or even online resources. The student will be guided coherently towards final outcome. Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

I am interdisciplinary artist based in Glasgow, UK. Working across, film, moving image, photography and sculpture I have extensive experience teaching and mentoring online and I am passionate about sharing my skills and knowledge by helping other artists and student to develop theirs. Contemporary Art Practice: mentoring for artists and students This course is intended for adults who already have an art practice which they wish to expand and/or refine. I offer 1/2 hour and 1 hour sessions online. Renowned for conceptualisation, design, and fabrication expertise, Lautaro has contributed to globally recognised film, television, and theatre productions while also leading impactful community initiatives and educational programmes. Proficient in managing diverse responsibilities across creative and technical domains, with a strong passion for inspiring creativity and excellence.

I like to start class with the fundamentals! Once we’ve covered those we can get on to working towards your art goals. I prefer to tailor class towards what you’re interested in and help you gain the skills that will get you towards what you want to do art wise. Whether that is landscapes, portraits, painting in oils, acrylics, or watercolours, or drawing what you see, or drawing what you imagine. I look forward to helping you gain the skills you’ll need!

Art is a means of expression for the mind. Through art, we are able to start to realise our dreams, imaginations and visions. During this class, you will be guided on how to develop ideas into tangible objects which then aids you in communicating your dreams, imaginations and visions. The class also empowers you to be daring in your approaches through inviting you to test media, approaches and techniques.
