Hi, I'm Nikos, a guitar teacher with over 12 years of experience and a Master's degree in classical guitar performance from the Conservatory of Brussels. I have taught over 100 students, providing individualized lessons and personalized attention to every one of them. Graduated from the Lyon Conservatory in cello, musical training and with a double Master's degree in cello and double bass from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels I give lessons for all levels, all ages. You like Bach suites for solo cello, the music of Telemann, Chopin, tangos, etc. It is possible to learn music at any age and I would be happy to support you on your journey. You do not have an instrument, I will lend you one during the first lesson and can guide you in your search for an instrument afterwards. I teach at my home, at yours in Ixelles, Etterbeek, Saint-Gilles, Forest, Uccle, Watermael-Boitsfort and in Brussels. Possibility of giving lessons by Zoom or other. The course is intended for beginners or false beginners, with as primary objectives the development of position, ear, groove and music theory (if desired, not required) through the analysis of musical pieces of all styles ( at the student's choice + some indispensable ones) and progressive and fun exercises. My name is Flora, I am 24 years old, I am a specialized Master's student at the Royal Conservatory of Mons in Han Bin YOON's class, and I am doing a didactic master's degree in parallel. I obtained my master's degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Marie Hallynck and Francis Mourey. I began my musical apprenticeship in France where I studied in music school then in Paris, with David Louwerse, Philippe Bary and Raphaële Sémezis. All the passionate teachers I had made me want to give lessons too, because I love human contact and sharing my passion. I also really like chamber music! I wish in my lessons to make the student want to play, that he takes pleasure in discovering the sensations on the instrument and the beautiful repertoire while developing technique and accuracy. I can also offer music initiation sessions to children by doing musical awakening, by approaching music in a more general way, by singing, by doing rhythm exercises, by making people discover different instruments.

- Master in jazz guitar (Royal Conservatory of Brussels/Lemmens Instituut Leuven) - Additional module in Jazz Arrangement (writing for large ensemble - octet, nonet, big band, etc.) - 4 years of experience at the Cavell Music School and 2 years at the Maria Boodschap Instituut primary school. I teach all styles, according to the student's preference, and at all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). My teaching method varies depending on the style and your desires. I see learning the instrument along three lines: accompaniment, musical understanding and improvisation. I try to give the student a solid foundation so that he can become independent as quickly as possible and can learn pieces by himself or accompany himself. Many "theoretical" courses are available in videos and offered after the course (different scales, chords etc...).

And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs.
