I am of Italian mother tongue and I hold a university license in Linguistic Mediation (Translation and Interpretation) of the English, French and Italian language and I have a few years of experience in tutoring. I give Italian, English and French lessons to children and adults of all levels. I offer lessons in grammar, conversation, reading, literature and help in preparing for foreign language exams, revising texts in a foreign language, translations and learning a foreign language.

I’m a native Italian speaker with a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, I studied in particular English, German and Italian didactic. Right now I'm about to take a Master's Degree in Translation for International Relations. Three years ago I started teaching Italian during my university internship and I understood that's what I want to do for a living. Since then I never stopped: I volunteered as an Italian teacher to refugees and I started teaching online courses for those who love and would like to get to know this beautiful language! I also attended a specific course about teaching languages using games and a playful approach for adults. I use a fresh approach to language teaching: I like to adjust my method to my student. I taught to people coming from all around the world and of all ages: from 8 to 71! My method depends on the source language; the starting level; the final goal; in which context the student would like to use Italian, and so on. I like to include games, songs and novels in my lessons, if the student is interested in any of these. Right now I'm located in Italy (Palermo), but in August I'll move to Berlin.

My academic research is interdisciplinary and combines literary criticism and philosophy. My research interests include the relationship between contemporary Italian and French literature, the Italian and French avant-garde movements in literature and film, and the interactions between literature, philosophy, the arts, and film. For seven years, I have taught Italian at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, and also taught a course on Italian cinema. As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis.
