The course offers a possibility of help for students having difficulties in the courses offered. Dear Parents, You have come here seeking help for your child, and you have made the right decision. I am now a chemist who holds a degree from EPFL (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), and on April 11, 2019, I successfully defended a doctoral thesis in experimental physics at the University of Geneva (UNIGE). However, all this knowledge is only valuable if it can be effectively communicated. As you know, communication is an essential aspect of teaching. There are teachers who can be uninteresting, and then there are others whose passion is contagious. I have often observed that teachers who manage to ignite their students' interest take the time to provide context for what they teach. During a mathematics or scientific branch course, the student has specific questions or subjects to address (ranging from compulsory school to the end of the gymnasium in maturity/reinforced math) in order to fill in the gaps in the subject . If he wants to get ahead of the program or needs help with homework/exercises, this is also possible.

I finished my Doctorate in Physics at EPFL and now I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English to secondary I and secondary II students. I offer personalized support for each student, while considering their objectives. I help students in difficulty to pass their exams, but also those who want to reach a level of excellence and perhaps go a little beyond the school curricula. The courses will be adapted to each individual case. I prioritize comprehension to the detriment of memorization and I help students develop their mathematical / scientific reasoning, in order to make them more autonomous. As a Master of Data Science student at EPFL, mathematics is an important part of my academic curriculum. During my studies, I had the opportunity to act as a student assistant at EPFL in various courses in the Computer Science section. These experiences allowed me to develop a teaching spirit. I really enjoy passing on my knowledge and helping students develop their reasoning skills. My goal is to make people love mathematics, offer an intuitive understanding of the topics covered in order to guide students towards better results and greater autonomy.

I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

I love teaching and have always enthusiastically helped my classmates. I have been giving private lessons since 2016 (around 25 students, including one for Analysis I, EPFL). I am also an assistant for two courses at EPFL (3rd year Bachelor and Master levels), and I co-created and taught the EPFL Advanced Analysis course during the welcome week for new students (Students4Students EPFL). I strive to transmit my knowledge and my passion for the subject to my students, at a pace adapted to their needs. Many students are preparing for the start of the new school year at EPFL, but many of them are lost and don't know where to start. Some drag gaps from gymnasium/college with them, which prevent them from starting to learn/relearn math and physics and prepare well for the start of the school year. In this course, I propose to supervise the student in his preparation. This course is adapted to the level in mathematics (standard and advanced) and physics (standard) of all sections of EPFL*. CONTENTS : The course aims to adapt to the needs of the student. In particular, it is common to: - resume gym/college classes -identify and address remaining gym/college gaps - Fly over new subjects (the goal being not to be surprised when introducing them to the university) -Work on certain subjects in advance -Develop a work strategy and get organized -Share experience/give advice -Present the exam modalities (within the limits of my knowledge) Note that the courses are flexible.
