ABOUT THIS LESSON: I offer tutoring in Python programming and mathematics for university and college students. I also support secondary school and primary school students in all scientific subjects. I start by (if available) using your old tests to determine together with you (and possibly your parents) what specific difficulties you have. In addition, we will have a short conversation in which you can explain to me which issues you have experienced as the most difficult and would like to focus more on. My focus is on ensuring that the student is able to find the solution independently, step by step, and I help where necessary by providing mini-tips to get to the next step together. This makes my method much more personalized than standard classroom teaching. When I notice that a student has difficulty independently coming up with the correct editing steps, I create a concise step-by-step plan tailored to that specific subject so that the student begins to see more structure in the learning material. At the same time, I ensure that the underlying theory is thoroughly understood by linking it to self-invented exercises and practical examples from the student's personal environment, which makes learning easier and more lasting. ABOUT NICK: I am a 22-year-old master's student in Commercial Engineering at KU Leuven. I started tutoring my sister, nephews, nieces and friends and I get a lot of satisfaction from improving and helping others when they come to me for help. Because I have been tutoring consistently for 4 years, I have the right resources to present learning material in an understandable way and to strengthen the motivation, concentration and independent study of my students. I am a student of TEW at the KULeuven and would like to offer my services to high school students who could use some help outside of school hours. Together with my students, I look for the right study approach to fully understand the courses and I try to present the subject matter in a different way so that my students gain more insight into the subject matter. I myself graduated from the Sint-Albertuscollege in Haasrode with a degree in science mathematics (6 hours) and I was raised perfectly bilingual (Dutch-French). I have several years of experience with tutoring, both to children in the 2nd year of high school and to children who are at the end of their high school and will soon be making the transition to further studies. Apart from general English language learning, this type of classes will focus more on English business vocabulary, business writing, business conversation and listening comprehension. This class would be suitable for people who plan (or already do) to study business/economics, want to enhance business skills for the business trips/clients, want to communicate and network effectively with international people in English. For this class I will use several books as materials (popular editions) dedicated to Business English growth. I will involve much conversational practice and discussion activities of specific topics. The material (books, texts, exercises) will be shared with a student. All the classes and preparation for them will be adapted to each student individually. As a final year civil engineering student, I want to help others fully understand mathematics. I want to see where exactly the difficulties lie and overcome them by doing exercises together. I would like to help both children in secondary school and young people in higher education. (Minimum lesson blocks of 2 hours)

I studied Latin Sciences at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Brussels and I am currently in my 3rd bachelor's degree in Applied Economics (TEW) at the KUL.
