I am Thomas, a pianist student at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Liège where I am finishing my course. I started music far from Theory and solfège classes, by a method of my own, on which I worked quite a bit, in order to offer it to my students (I come from France where I had been teaching for 6 years alongside my studies). I proceed as follows: we first work on the ability to listen, and then we deduce the technical and/or theoretical concepts. music comes first and foremost through the spoken word! trained in classical, I have won international competitions, and have stage experience that allowed me to test my method!

A pioneering and innovative method of singing practice created in Denmark by Cathrine Sadolin twenty years ago, adopted by thousands of amateur and professional singers around the world. First, you have the possibility of increasing your comfort by applying the 3 basic principles for a healthy voice: Support, Twang and opening of the mouth. Then, it is a question of choosing the character of sound that you want to produce, by modifying the adjustment (the shape) which you give to your vocal tract (zone of the larynx, the mouth and the lips), one speaks then the mode in which you sing. -There is the Neutral mode which refers to soft sounds. -The Curbing mode whose sounds are a little louder and restrained. -Overdrive mode for loud and powerful sounds. -And finally the Edge mode for loud and sharp sounds. Anyone can use the 4 modes and switch between them. When you are in control and know the limitations, advantages and disadvantages of each of these modes, you will in fact be able to sing exactly what you want. you have access to several tools to acquire these new skills and this in-depth understanding of your voice. Hello everyone ! I am a teacher and singer graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and I offer individual singing lessons of all styles and for all levels in Herstal (Hermée-Oupeye) The lessons are divided into two parts: 30 minutes of vocalizations to work on vocal technique (breath, posture, etc.) according to the level of each person and 30 minutes to work on songs and pieces that you like and that you choose (for people having no ideas, I can obviously guide on songs corresponding to the work to be done at each house). I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons.
