Hello! I’m Miguel, a 22 year-old musician/singer/songwriter, based in London. I’ve been studying music theory and professional violin since I was 4 years old. I started as an orchestra player and went to music school till I was 18, when I started writing and composing my own material. I’d love to share some of the knowledge I’ve gathered through the years with you guys, whether you’re a beginner or already have some experience in the area, I’d love to help in any way I can to increase your abilities and achieve your musical goals. I can travel to your location on specific days of the week, but also offer online sessions if needed

I am a professional violinist with over 15 years in the industry. Graduated from Guildhall School of Music & Drama - this year rated the UK’s best music conservatoire and in the top 10 in the world. I will be teaching violin and everything related to it. Depending on your wishes, we will elaborate a strategy for your lessons in accordance with your goals. I'm an experienced teacher, with students of different levels/ages. I enjoy the diversity of students and understanding of their different ways of learning and goals and for me, this is the best part of the job - to know an treat each student as a unique person that they are. You'll be encouraged to make music from the very first day. Together with some necessary music theory, always applied to the instrument, you'll learn pieces of gradual difficulty. We make use of progressive tuition methods and you'll learn a solid technique by playing scales, bowing and fingering exercises and easy tunes to begin with. Repertoire includes etudes, playful and challenging concert pieces and from the very beginning duos to play with the teacher.

Provide individualized violin instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Develop and implement customized lesson plans based on the Suzuki Method to foster progressive skill development and musical understanding. Prepare students for Suzuki examinations, ensuring they meet the required standards for each level. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Organize and conduct recitals and performance opportunities to enhance students' confidence and stage presence. Collaborate with parents to create supportive practice environments at home, offering guidance on effective practice strategies and techniques. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.

She was the baroque strings coach at the inaugural edition of the Novi Sad Baroque Academy, where she presented a mixture of teaching methods incorporated with historically informed performance practice. In October of 2021 she joined the Herne Hill Music Studio in London as one of their tutors. She enjoys teaching students of all levels and ages, and is always willing to exchange knowledge, seeking new exciting and productive ways of learning. She has explored educational psychology, as well as Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, visualization and different teaching schools. Having studied 2nd-study piano at her music college as a compulsory requirement, she is able to guide children to take ABRSM graded piano music exams too. The students’ happiness, acquisition of new knowledge and musical improvement are the most important things to her. This class is an opportunity to learn violin/ viola or receive tutoring in music theory (up to Grade 8) from an enthusiastic tutor who is passionate about music education.
