I would like to share my experience in saxophone playing for all kind of levels. I have a lot of experience in music. I am playing around 200 concerts a year. With beginner saxophone students, we will first work on proper instrument holding and posture. Then, before blowing into the saxophone, we will practice long-tone exercises using the mouthpiece. Once comfortable with these fundamentals, we will start producing sound from the instrument and learning the notes. We will focus on long-tone exercises to develop control and consistency. We gradually start incorporating short exercises or simple melodies as the student progresses. Learning and progressing on an instrument mostly depends on the student's dedication and practice habits. If you love music and commit time to it, you can reach a good level in a short period!

Hi, I’m Cassie—a British jazz saxophonist, award-winning composer, and Trinity Laban Conservatoire graduate, now based in Berlin. I’m currently looking for a couple of private saxophone and/or composition students who are keen to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Saxophone Lessons: With a strong background in Jazz and improvised music, I offer saxophone lessons tailored to each student’s needs—whether you’re preparing for ABRSM or Royal College exams (or other equivalent examination boards), exploring jazz improvisation, or just playing for fun. As a performer, I’ve played at major festivals and venues across the UK, USA & Europe such as Glastonbury Festival (UK, SXSW (USA) and Paris Jazz Festival (FR). I am still active as a touring band-leader/artist and I bring that real-world experience into my teaching. Composition Lessons: As a classical composer, my work spans orchestral, chamber, and jazz ensemble writing, with commissions from leading arts organisations and orchestras - recent commissions include the London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic. My lessons focus on notation, orchestration, and arranging—whether you’re composing for small ensembles or larger-scale works. I hold a BMus Hons degree in composition from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (London) where I studied with American composer Stephen Montague and British composer Andrew Poppy. Clarinetist graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña. During my training, I have worked with great teachers who have given me a new way of seeing and loving music, which has led me to share music not only as a performer but as a teacher. As a teacher, I have experience in teaching clarinet classes, as well as music theory, musical initiation or piano initiation. In addition, I can help you with the preparation of entrance exams for both professional and advanced degrees. I have worked in several music academies with children and adults. Therefore, I offer weekly private classes as personalized as possible, always adapting to the needs and abilities of the students. Are you up for it?

I teach instrumental lessons (face to face from my Music Studio and online) on flute, piano, singing, saxophone and clarinet, as well as music theory. I also offer general musical skills sessions for young children who are not quite old enough to learn one specific instrument yet. I have experience as a Music Teacher and Lecturer for schools and colleges, so I also offer help with GCSE and A-Level Music. I attend regular Safeguarding training and I have an advanced DBS on the update service. I also have experience working with children who have special educational needs and EHCP’s. Learning music and an instrument as well as being part of a group or ensemble, is about much more than becoming a performer. The skills and techniques learnt, are incredibly versatile for use in other subjects as well as being valuable life skills. I also have experience of running school and college choirs, orchestras and ensembles. I choose repertoire of various genres for students to explore different sounds and styles, with some being quicker to learn but effective, to build a more instant satisfaction and confidence within the group, while other pieces are more technical, allowing students to challenge themselves. As well as being a solo Flautist, Singer, and Saxophonist, I am part of an acoustic Classical Flute and Guitar duo, a Folk duo, a Jazz ensemble and a Folk Rock band, performing at weddings, private functions, festivals and events.
