Having been a Zumba teacher, self-taught dancer and student of Matt Steffanina, as well as an energetic psychotherapy coach, I guide you in your stage presence so that you can fully express your beauty by dancing it. I also use dance as a tool to achieve goals, by setting a specific intention on each movement. We can then align our desires with our emotions to take action more effectively and consciously. (Perfect for people who are easily discouraged and professional procrastinators) I adapt to everyone's musical tastes and physical abilities. Each lesson is therefore unique!

Ciar is a recent graduate of Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; a versatile queer dance artist freelancing in London with a background in Hip-Hop, Circus Arts, Classical Ballet and Contemporary dance. I hope to offer everyone an exciting and enjoyable time whilst pushing thier physical capabilities. Dance should be fun! My class explores a choreographic style of contemporary dance with clear influences from Cunningham technique and my recent expirience working with Jason Mabana. The work will challenge your coordination, rhythm, attention to detail and demostrate a contemporary application of classical teachnical forms, but all through explorative and original material. The class is structured like any other technical class, each exercise desinged to methodicaly warm up and work the body, building on the previous exercises, before culminating in a longer choreography where we can pull everything together and just have a boogie. I can tailor the work to each student however I would reccomend having some technical expirience, classical or contemporary.

I am here to help you surpass yourself! ;) Professional dancer, choreographer and teacher, I am creative, empathic, dynamic, and versatile. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance and creation of multidisciplinary performances from the Iceland University of the Arts, a Master 2 in Art Research & International Creation from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, I am an artist member of the International Dance Council at UNESCO. Since 2020, I have been engaged in academic research on medical and spiritual dance whose practice is called Transcendental Dance (Transcendental Embodiment). I intend to present this research in a doctoral contract. My professional experience extends internationally where I had the opportunity to work alongside various renowned companies and to organize internships in France, Iceland, Sweden, Mexico, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Asia. Also, I had the opportunity to dance for haute couture houses during Fashion Week in Paris. I teach contemporary dance, technical floorwork (floor work), contact dance and classical dance. My classes focus on mindfulness, musicality, harmonization of energy flows, improvisation, muscle strengthening and coaching in choreographic composition for competitions, exams, galas, and weddings. In these sessions you'll crawl, stretch, and flow through playful, strength-building movements inspired by nature’s creatures, blending flexibility, balance, and power. With a mix of crawling, lunging, and twisting, you’ll boost mobility and strength while having fun.

After training in Ballet & Contemporary at Rambert School, I danced professionally for over a decade with companies such as Richard Alston Dance Company, National Dance Company Wales and Michael Clark Company. I can teach and coach on a range of contemporary dance styles, choreography and performance and audition skills. We will improve strength & flexibility, improve coordination and develop technique. I primarily danced with Cunningham technique but have good experience of other techniques such as Graham, release and Gaga. As a qualified physiotherapist, I can also teach about the anatomy of a dancer and how to look after the body and overcome injury. I look forward to supporting younger students to enjoy dance whilst also developing their technique, musicality and dance proficiency.

One to one dance lessons. I am trained in a variety of styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet, musical theatre, commercial and tap. However my predominant style is hip hop including locking tutting, house, Afro and light feet. Lessons would focus on strengthening dance technique in any styles of your choice as well as performance and pick-up rate (how fast you can learn choreography).
