Learn how to play the violin and how to improve your violin skills

I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

Max for Live is a tool bundled with Ableton Live that lets you program your own instruments and effects without writing a single line of code. With this course you will get a better understanding of the components of a synthesizer, learn the fundamentals of some of the most known and recognizable effects and learn some basic notions of programming. Max uses a visual approach to programming, meaning you do not have to right codes to make your own plugins, instead you connect blocks that each have a specific function into an interconnected network that make a functioning instrument or effect. By learning how to make your own plugin you will also gain a better understanding of how digital audio works, making you more aware of what your are doing in Ableton and more efficient.

This class is both for people without any prior knowledge of music production and sound engineering and for people who wish to improve their skills. You will learn how to use computer software for RECORDING, COMPOSING, MIXING and MASTERING songs. You will also learn microphone techniques for recording acoustic instruments and voice. With this knowledge you will be able to produce music in all genres: pop, hip hop, rock, EDM, etc.

Hello there, my name is Ludovica and I am an Italian singer and singing teacher. I hold a Bachelor's degree in singing from the Venice Conservatoire (Italy) and a Master’s degree in classical singing from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. I believe that singing is, above all, therapeutic. If you feel the urge to sing, it's because you have the desire to communicate in a different way. I’ve been teaching singing since 2016, and I am specialized in resolving intonation issues that prevent you from fully enjoying your voice and having fun while singing. My lessons focus on developing a solid, healthy vocal technique that respects the voice, all within a fun and supportive environment. In this lessons we will work on Irish tunes alongside how to play your whistle, good posture and breathing technique. Irish music gives a great joy, it's rhythmical and flowing :) we will work on both playing by ear, but also reading the sheet music so you can always easily learn and play new tunes.

I want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal. I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects. During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work. Owning your own effects pedals, a guitar amplifier or recording equipment is not required for this course.

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

I am Ana Marquez (23 years old), violinist and music teacher from Spain based in the Netherlands, last May I completed my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory. I started my musical education at the age of 6 in Málaga, my birthplace. I followed the Suzuki method from an early age, but I am also familiar with other methods such as the Paul Roland method or the Yehudi Menuhin method. Throughout my musical career I have been inspired and influenced by many great musicians who have guided and taught me. What I hope to offer my students is the ability to expand their vision and love for music, helping them find the music they want to make, play and experience. A technical side is being developed, but a creative, executive and musical treatment will also be present in my lessons. From classical to jazz. My goal is to show everyone how beautiful music can be. And fun!

I have almost finished studying at the Conservatory in Utrecht classical violin. I already have a teaching certificate after finishing Suzuki course level 1. I have a Master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory in the Netherlands and an advanced degree from the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. I studied violin and viola for 20 years and piano for 12 years. Hi, I am Mario. I am 20 years old and I am currently finishing my bachelor degree in classical violin at Utrecht Conservatory. I come from a family of musicians and I started playing the violin when I was 4 years old. The classes will be adapted to the student's level.
