In the summer of 2022 I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Classical Music at the Basel Music Academy. After an internship at a special education school in Winterthur, I have been studying speech therapy in Zurich since 2023 and play the viola in orchestral projects, various chamber music formations and the violin in a band. Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. My main goal is to make music affordable to everyone, that's why I love to have students of any age. I am educated and experienced music teacher coming from Czech Republic. I graduated Prague Conservatoire and I also attended in many international piano courses with well known pianist such as Eugen Indjic and others. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas). I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. I have students who sing for pleasure and students who are preparing for auditions and competitions. Feel free and find enjoyment and confidence in singing! In lessons, we will focus on extending the vocal range, breath support, interpretation, as well as learning to read music (if you have no previous musical training). Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs.
