ABOUT ME: My name is Ana and I am a 25-year-old pianist, graduated from her master's degree in ArtEZ University of the Arts in Zwolle. I come from Spain, but I live and work in The Netherlands. I studied for my piano bachelor's in Spain and finish with the highest marks. Also, I have experience as a performer and I have won some prizes in national and international competitions. Apart from my piano career, I also have a lot of pedagogical training and experience teaching, both individual and group lessons. I can teach people of all ages and all levels. The class will be an hour long, divided into two halves: the first half is practical and is specialized in exercises to strengthen the student’s abilities to play the oud, while the second half will be specialized in learning the science of Arabic music theory from Arabic (maqams)/scales and Arabic rhythms.

If you are looking to do ABRSM instrumental exams, you will need to pass grade 5 music theory in order to progress to grade 6 in your instrumental exams, therefore I will be able to guide you to passing your grade 5 theory paper and beyond. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
